French regional knives...

Le Bleuet de France is a charity organization in favor of veterans, victims of war and terrorism and wards of the nation.
The cornflower is reminiscent of the blue of the uniforms of the French military at the time and is the symbol of remembrance.

Exquisite.

It‘s a variation of the Capuchadou knife from FP. Same handle but different bade. Compared to most of my other knives a strong spring when closed but the pull is ok considering that there is no nail nick. Someone said that their Capuchadou needs to be closed carefully because the blade has contact with the spring. From my perspective that might be the case for the early productions -FP took over the design from Richard Sossler when he retired. Both of mine have a blade stop on the spring.

FP points that out the blade stop on their website as well. They provide a different blade stop for their Laguiole series (stop pin). This is making the old French saying somewhat obsolete that points out that a knife can be heard when it’s opened but it has to be closed silently to keep the blade sharp. Jolipapa Jolipapa knows probably more about that.

I have seen it on their website. So many beautiful designs. I am awaiting a Thiers Nature knife from them, but I think I may have to get several of their patterns. Maybe a new one every birthday!

The patriarch closing his knife when the meal was over signaled "everybody back to work!" :)

H Haegar Brilliant new arrival Gerd  Another aspect of French knives I admire is that you can still get stamped blades ( the Chamois head is ace) from many different manufacturers . Used to see that on German knives too but it's become very rare on American brands, a touch of class in my book.

Thanks, Will

Nice Ed!! Wild streak in the pistachio!!:D
