It‘s a variation of the Capuchadou knife from FP. Same handle but different bade. Compared to most of my other knives a strong spring when closed but the pull is ok considering that there is no nail nick. Someone said that their Capuchadou needs to be closed carefully because the blade has contact with the spring. From my perspective that might be the case for the early productions -FP took over the design from Richard Sossler when he retired. Both of mine have a blade stop on the spring.
FP points that out the blade stop on their website as well. They provide a different blade stop for their Laguiole series (stop pin). This is making the old French saying somewhat obsolete that points out that a knife can be heard when it’s opened but it has to be closed silently to keep the blade sharp.
