Good lord, the guillochage on that L'Antò is absolutely divine!
At least you got some fantastic looking wood covers! What's the size? Here is my newest, a laguiole from Coutellerie du Barry. I've taken some additional pictures forwaynorth .

A lovely knife, but it's not without flaws. One of the liners is proud of the wood at the cap end.

The pins on the shepherd's cross are misaligned.

Perhaps worst of all is the blade's guillochage. It's not as executed as well as it should be. Ornamentation by definition is superfluous and unnecessary. If done it should be done right, otherwise it detracts rather than enhances.

I like this knife, and will be keeping and using it. I don't want people to think otherwise, I just wanted to share my honest thoughts on it in case others want to consider ordering a laguiole from this shop.

That's exactly how I'm choosing to look at it Charlie!
It's no precious hotty custom but an honest rough maid of work

Most fixed are hunter or kitchen knives. I'm not aware of a particular regional fixed pattern, but it may exist.Ok, as a divergent from the typical folders we have been enjoying, are there any French regional fixed blades out there? Just curious.
