FYI: Knifeworks accepting pre-orders for S90V Manix XL Tuesday....

So after owning it for a little bit, I can say I'm disappointed in it. It is simply just too big to carry for me. Aside from taking up too much pocket real estate, it also sticks up out of the pocket too much. My 710 has the same blade length but carries much more easily.

My Manix in M4 is one of my favorites, but the Manix XL regardless of blade steel is not useable for me. I really wish I didn't buy two.

Just sell it/them if you don't like it? You'll even make a buck or two.

Just a heads up: As of this morning KnifeWorks only had 73 of the 800 left!

Peel ply carbon fiber scales, full steel liners, massive jimping, thumb ramp, choil, spydie hole, ball lock, full flat grind S90V, and a comfortably large handle.

Good bang for the buck.

A buddy ordered one and it arrived yesterday, 2 cell phone potato shots next to my Tuff.

Probably read it at one time but dont remember .......... was just trying to help. The knife in mention just sits in mt safe ......LOL
I sell or dont sell at a drop of a hat .......... meaning moment by moment , in my mood swings .....LOL
I only bought one because its S90V.

I think it was on February 21st, because I remember someone on another forum posted one for sale at $600 which would be ridiculous unless they sold out by then.
It would be ridiculous...but people are. They were on the 'Bay for $450-550 before I purchased mine from KnifeWorks. I didn't get it that long ago; but time is a blur, and it's hard to say when it was (I tried checking emails; but I delete them once I don't need the tracking). Early to mid February, if I were to guess - guess I got in just under the wire.

People can ask whatever they want, but are they moving at double the original price?

Mine isn't going anywhere. I'm just curious.

S90V takes quite an edge, took a while, but holy crap! If I did what I did with AUS8 with what I did with the S90V, there would be no edge. Broke down a massive amount of bouble wall cardboard and the S90V was completely unfazed. Wiped the glue and crap off and it was still sharp enough to scare the hair off of my arm.

I just checked auction listings and a good number sold for around $300, with a few over that and one at $370.

They absolutely can...and, if somebody wants the item badly enough, they might pay it. I mentioned it more in passing because those auctions were how I found out about the S90V Manix2 XL. Once aware of it, it was easy enough to find.
Will they sell at the inflated prices - not at $600, IMO...but if the right people are looking, and the only ones available are in the $400-500 range, they just might.

I actually don't like the knife much, so it just sits on a shelf of my desk. It isn't the size, really; it just doesn't feel right in my hand. Maybe I'll try making some new scales for it at some point.
