FYI: Knifeworks accepting pre-orders for S90V Manix XL Tuesday....

I got the e-mail from Ashley that mine shipped as well. Looking like Thursday will be 1) my new knife and 2) first night at National Finals Rodeo. Shaping up to be a great week!!
 
Yeah I believe about 400 are gone now. I must say I'm surprised, I thought this one would have sold out a week ago. Some things you can't predict!
 
The KW site says that they are still taking pre-orders. I wonder how many they have left(?)

I was about to pre-order mine but then I saw that they were also accepting pre-orders for another beauty I've been looking at. So I skipped the Manix and chose the other one.
 
Just got a shipping notice yesterday that my two s90v Manix2 XL are on the way.I placed my order around 8:45am. Anybody else have one on the way.

Did yours come without paperwork? Mine did as well which was annoying, but then again, I'd rather have the knife than the paperwork :p

Also, a kind soul over on the Spyderco forums uploaded the paper in theirs if you want to dl and print it out!

I recently bought a Dodo with CF scales and frankly don't like them. They are slippery and make it tough to get the knife out of your pocket. YMMV, but after anticipating this knife for quite a while, I am passing.

The CF scales on this one are WAY grippy. Every bit, if not more than a G10 handle. I seriously don't think slippery would EVER be a concern. If it had any more "grip", you couldn't pull it out. It is like Velcro. YMMV.

I may be mistaken but Im pretty sure the CF on the dodo is more polished where as this one should have a different texture. Similar to G10 but maybe a hair or two less aggressive.

My Manix 2 XL S90V is here and in the pocket.I had a deep carry clip made by STR.This knife is a winner.I am a happy camper....

Hmmm? Placed mine on the 3rd and have heard nothing. I guess I need to call to see if my order fell between the cracks. Did get a collectors edition from HKS last week so I might just cancel the one from KW. See how I feel after my morning coffee.
 
Mine got shipped today with an ETA of Thursday. Preordered on Nov. 22nd. Some still available for preorder.

My first S90V blade.

It was a BM. But I'm quite all set with BM for the time being so I cancelled my pre-order.

And it looks like that sweet Yojimbo2 S90V is gonna remain a wish until late 2014.
 
Got the shipping notice as well, will be my first new knife of the new year.
Looking forward to using it.
