Thanks man I will indeed shoot an email your way !!! For now its mostly arrows im needing though, ones that are longer than 27", these are too short for me and geared towards a 60# bow and i got a 40# bow, besides arrows i need an arm-guard and glove. I used tape on my fingers tonight and it was better than nothing but still not very ideal, other stuff like a bow case and arrow rest and stuff like that is just wants really but not needed. I could also use some more skills so if you can send skills this way that would be awesome!! Ill get a list of some knives and stuff together that i could trade as well. Thanks man!!
I'm sure I got what you need...if you want, include your phone number and some time windows to call tomorrow. I have arrows, target & field points, arm guard and a tab (finger guard) for the basics. I'll look tomorrow and see what else I can come up with, depending on your bow config. Now, I'm gonna read some more of Moose's stuff in the stickied skill thread...hopefully that'll put me to sleep.

WW, learn how to rotate your arm without changingthe position of your wrist, it's all in the elbow.

Armguards are just dead weight, i.e. useless crutches for people that don't rotate their arm out flat vertical wise

Brady Ellison and even Byron Ferguson both use arm guards... Im pretty sure they are not just useless crutches, i watched some Olympic shooters... all wearing arm guards... but im sure proper technique would reduce a lot of the problems. But not eliminate it totally, otherwise the best shooters would never wear them.

Seems to Me like all competition shooters wear guards, doesn't make them useful

Your silly. they wouldnt use them if they had no use.

Explain why they use them if there useless?

I have read people use them less often with compounds on one board, i dont know why or how true it is but i read that. Im a member of a traditional board and they all say use an arm guard with a recurve.

read this;

Having the string hit your arm is not necessarily poor form. Some elite archers with great shoulder alignment will have little clearance between the their forearm and the string, depending on the shape of their arms. While the string shouldn't hit the arm during the power stroke, it is likely to do so once the arrow has left the bow and the limbs are still oscillating.

What the arm guard stops you doing is worrying about the string hitting your arm. If you think the string might hit your arm, it tends to cause you to either avoid getting in to alignment in the first place, or to sub-consciously move your arm out of the way during the release. Both will mess with your form.

Now i have shot around 30 arrows to date and only had 1 string slap, so obviously its not a NEED on every shot, but that old saying better safe than sorry is a good one.

Yep, sharpened my Phat Bob on a rock from an underwater volcano. :D
Turns out the Arkansas stuff is better for that, though.

That's still cool though! Not too many people can say that :)

Smoke and prayers for everyone affected by the storms. Scary stuff, that. :(

Speaking of storms, it sounds like AIG will be on his way the the Phillipines any day now to help typhoon victims. Looks like he's going to have his hands full.

My hometown got hit today. Three dead and still quite a few missing. Went to volunteer for S&R but the whole area is closed off and no one is allowed in. They said to bring a chainsaw and come back tomorrow.

Holy crap, good luck with the rescue effort, Trade.

I've become addicted to Coke Zero. Tastes oh-so-damn-close to the real thing and has zero calories. Laboratory magic. Probably made from the screams of snuffed-out Pepsi drinkers at an undisclosed Midwest facility. worldwood, watch your back.

I saw your area on the news this morning Trade. looks like a real mess. Glad you guys are O.K. be carefull down there! Smoke and prayers.

Still working on it.

Your choil looks like its triangled shaped. I know its just a paper cutout. but if your going to have a small choil it sould be round and lightly champhered as to not be a stress point. and that is not where you want a stress point at especially on choppers........I dont think its a big deal on those bigger knifes but on that smaller one you posted a pic of earlier you might want to reconsider a less pointier back portion of the handle (pommel) smaller knives tend to be used for a wider range of stuff and I see that being uncomfortable or hindering in various applications.

Thanks Todd. Yea i was trying to make it kind of like the choil on the bk17 but i couldnt cut it out real well.
