Filled my kindling box with branches from the storm. That's a good thing, it was empty. About the extent of my day. Tomorrow I shall sand a doorway, and apply wood filler. The day after, comes the paint. Pretty exciting, eh?

Oh yeah, got my Mini Trangia in today. I like it. That is all.

Be a great night for a fire. 5 mph winds is all now, and 42°. Firewood is a bit moist however, haha.

Throw your paint stripper/acetone in the fire and it will dry that would up for ya :D

Paint stripper? I be sanding by hand yo. Actually, I've had the door stripped for quite some time. We installed the basement door to swing in, instead of out, because of a cabinet that would be in the way. I need to paint the doorway, plus, I finally get to paint the door too.

Actually I don't. I just need to have them read over a contract for me to see if it is saying what it seems to be saying... Cause it seems mostly boilerplate however there are a couple of points of contention.

It sucks these days with all the laws, and how they word them, that you have to hire a lawyer to interpret them.

Well, normally this is not a big deal, I get a contract from an agency, I read over it and sign it easy-peasy gimme my cheesy. This one though is a non-compete which makes it a bit harder for me to get work. THE interesting part, is how it words the payment aspect.

I'd like to get a decent little carving hatchet. This guy seems to be pretty good with his:

contractual law still varies by state. also, you asked for a tort lawyer. a tort is a civil wrong or infringement of a right (other than under a contract)

State of the issuing of the contract or state of the person the contract is with? Cause it's in two different states.

trick question. the contract should comply with laws of the state where the contract is applicable, I would think. I am not a lawyer. I would start with a lawyer in your home state since he can tell you if your contract is applicable and/or enforceable to you.

Cut a bunch of wire and metal today. The nine is in need of some grinder time but it held up pretty damn well. I had it in a Camelbak to keep both hands free for sawing and didn't think I'd use it as much as I did. It's hatchet time tomorrow.

I knew all three people that were killed. Weird feeling.

Other than the aspect ratio, very impressive. I am curious how the bowl got smoothed up on the inside - the sperical radius looks like it would be hard to do given the relatively straight edge of the tool. Went from rough w/ lots of cuts and skipped to an almost sanded (maybe scraped?) look at the end. Maybe it was just the distorted video. Wonder how long it took?

Sorry to hear that man. Was this the little town on the river in southern Illinois?

It shows him sorta scraping the inner bowl early on. I don't know if this hatchet is a carving hatchet or not? I know carving hatchets have rounded blades.

Sorry to hear that, Trade. I'm sure the people there are quite grateful for your service. At least you can help. Good luck tomorrow.
