I want the smaller version of the 560/561. I think its the 566?

I have a 0566 coming tomorrow or the next day. I'll let you know what I think.
I like the idea of a scaled down version of the 0560's. We'll see.
The 0561 was a bit large for me for a folder. Cool knife though.

Yeah, that's the one. Didn't they have one a few years back?

No, that's the first tornado to hit there. Been close a few times. An F5 (a mile wide) came through near there about ten years ago. It looked like a giant lawnmower ran through the woods.

No offense to anyone here or the Order of KAI, but I just don't see what all the hubub is about with the ZTs. I suppose its hard for me to appreciate any high end folder, maybe its because they are out of reach for me. I could never convince my wife that ANY folder purchase for more than a 100 bucks was a reasonable buy. That being said, unless gifted I'll have to live vicariously through others.

Oh well, love my 14s and 24s!!!!

By the way Jon....I still think Abrasion got the better deal. I mean, he was changing the deal like every other sentence LOL. ;)

I don't snark much....it's just that I don't have anyone else to tell. I made a strop and have finally achieved scary sharp! Holy crap I'm happier than a clam in sand! 12000 grit mirrored polish goodness. Ahhhhh. Anyways night y'all.

Cut a bunch of wire and metal today. The nine is in need of some grinder time but it held up pretty damn well. I had it in a Camelbak to keep both hands free for sawing and didn't think I'd use it as much as I did. It's hatchet time tomorrow.

I knew all three people that were killed. Weird feeling.

Hate to hear that Trade. Hang in there man, thats a crappy situation all the way round. Thanks for helping out though sir.

I have a couple but I didn't pay full price for them. Not sure I would either. I got a ZT0350 blem for $85 from kershawguy.com and I believe it's worth every bit of that $85, maybe $100. But I don't know if I would want to pay $140 for a new one with a warranty. And I sure can't bring myself to spend what most of them go for.

ZT0700 is like $80 new. I like the styling but most don't and that's why they're going so cheap. Solidly built with an S30V blade, it's a good choice to dip your toe in the water.

Then again for $60 you can get a kershaw piston or knockout. Opening on my knockout is every bit as smooth and positive as my ZT0350 and it's thinner and carries deeper.

Does anyone know of anyone that works on SAK's? I'm gonna go search but I figured I might as well ask too. Got this SAK, I think it's an officer model, and I'm looking for someone that can completely disassemble it and clean and maybe replace a blade and maybe a little customization.

trick question. the contract should comply with laws of the state where the contract is applicable, I would think. I am not a lawyer. I would start with a lawyer in your home state since he can tell you if your contract is applicable and/or enforceable to you.

Doc
I actually just need someone to read over the language to say what it means. This is the thing though, it's actually for both states.

:( Sucks Trade, be glad you are there and able to help. Good on you for being willing to answer that call. One of these days we need to meet up, we can send smoke and prayers up for the fallen 3.

OH SNAP! A virgin snark! Strops are fun aren't they? I've been going less for polish more for "oh scrum! I just looked at that edge and my cataracts are gone!"

Not everything your saying... i know someone who sells customized saks and scales for saks... but dont think they replace blades on them.

Im glad your planning on putting it to use!!

I'm sure somebody probably does, but most don't bother. They're like Mora's... so cheap it's easier to just throw them away and get a new one when they get dull and gunked-up. Then again I've seen people put $40 worth of stabilized wood on, and $30 worth of leather around $15 Mora's... so what the heck do I know :D

Actually I don't. I just need to have them read over a contract for me to see if it is saying what it seems to be saying... Cause it seems mostly boilerplate however there are a couple of points of contention.

C-Bear : Just sent you an email with my phone number. Call me tomorrow. I may have something to help you.

I know a guy who does scales for SAKs but they cost around 45 bucks. might not be worth it to most on a 20-30 dollar sak

Nope! Neither could I...lol
On the other hand...purses and shoes can get spendy as well.

My wife has shoes over 200, and purses over 200 as well. Of course she use to sell them and got huge discounts and breaks with commission but still, when ever she use to say something about the cost of a knife id say well how much does that purse cost and she would shut up. Now a days she doesnt even ask me about the knives anymore. I pay all the bills before they are even due, as long as i do that she doesnt really care what i buy.

And im getting more and more excited!!! my comp cutter is only a couple weeks away from me now :D

+1 on everything above. I have the ZT and an aluminum scaled Knockout, plus a rare G10 Knockout I just received today. The Knockout is a perfect big blade EDC folder (IMO) in almost every way with one exception - the aluminum scaled version is hard to get out of your pocket. G10? Problem solved, without the use of grip tape. Rides so deep you almost can't see it. Thin design, Sandvik steel and oh so sexy...I'm excited about the G10. Can ya tell?
