Gareth bull: Slow Delivery/waitlist thread

I didn't get the email I wanted but he did update me and said that he hopes to have it done by the weekend (September 21- September 22).

Has anyone else got any updates?
 
Nope, no update here, he said hoped to send mine out the end of September, I emailed him last week when I didn't hear from him and I still haven't heard any news.
 
No updates for me yet, but I'm continuing to be confident it will happen soon. I just hope I have the funds back in Paypal when it happens. It's not easy to plan for something that is unexpected. But I'm sure Gazza will send me the knife and then I can just let him know when I have the funds ready--really shouldn't be long at all ;)

I sent him a email today on my order status. Ill post when I get a timeframe. He may be catching up on his backlog, I hope he is and look forward to seeing everyone on this thread get their knives.
 
Last I heard from Gareth was on August 6th, and he told me that "[a]t worst your knife will be done and winging it's way to you next month but earlier if at all possible." I have heard nothing since, but I am not concerned... yet.

I, like many of you, can deal with the waiting but communication is vital to a good business relationship.
 
The end of the weekend is here and the end of the month is barely a week away. I like many of you am very curious to see if the latest timelines are manageable and ultimately fulfilled. Only time will tell...

well my knife was supposed to be done Wednesday, and then he told me this weekend.

I still don't have an email or tracking and SA is 6 hours ahead of us (about 8pm were he is)... so I probably wont have it shipped out by the weekend like previously said.. I just want my knife :(


EDIT: Didn't get an email or tracking# like promised.

1 week has past since he gave me his word that the knife will be done and shipped. He has not been online for a couple days, nor has he replied to my emails.

Moderators I'm asking for help in this situation. What do you feel is the necessary steps to take?
 
I sent him a PM. The deal didn't happen on Bladeforums so there is a limit to what can be done. There are some members form South Africa on here that can probably reach out to him. I haven't read the entire thread so I'm certain that has already been attempted.

Thanks for confirming wolf. I'll help as much as I possibly can. Gareth needs to communicate at this point one way or another.
 
Maybe if we provide MadRookie with enough Squadron Rum he'll take his club and have a talk with Gazza. ;)

If not I would move on to another maker, or just wait. Nothing else you can do. I do feel your frustration though.

If he has taken money I feel your frustration much more so, and hope you will get your money back or the knives very soon.
