Perfect knife for today!View attachment 2120089
Arrived just in time to drop into my pocket and head out for a green beer, or make that a good beer.
I agree, it’s got a lot of depth with a bit of light.Perfect knife for today!
The depth of the hummingbird acrylic in the sun is really striking.
Hemlock green (66?) was dark red.Heathenhymnal
Charlie don’t surf" I love the smell of oil well sucker rod wood in the morning. ... The smell, you know that gasoline smell... smells like victory"
That's going to make for a nice user! Great looking covers.Arrived just in time to drop into my pocket and head out for a green beer, or make that a good beer.
Finally had a minute to sit down and do some new knife maintenance on this guy last night. Into the pocket this morning. This is my first beaver tail from GEC. The beaver shield is not my favorite, but no biggie. The jigged Brazilian cherry on the other hand is quite nice and I have definitely changed my opinion of it now that I have experienced it in person. Everything is spot on as expected, nice action, and the blade combination will make it very versatile. Not a carving knife, however it covers most other bases. If they could make a single blade 1¾ inch wharncliffe version, with this nice long handle? What carving knife that would be.

That is some of the best jigged wood I've ever seen, GEC did a great job on that.
I mod wood not knives. I like to let Randy design them for me.cmon look at that generous pen blade, you can mod that in to a coping for carving
I believe that is called pocket worn. Some people pay extra for it.i hope the jigged wood holds up better than the jigged bone. I carried my deleted 92 for a bit until the jigged bone started to chip.

How does jigged wood feels in hand? It doesn't "bite" the hand like jigged micarta? The jigged Brazilian cherry on the other hand is quite nice and I have definitely changed my opinion of it now that I have experienced it in person.
