same, the only reason id even try is to match the 86 sucker rod. Believe it or not, I had considered trying to get a 65 from the recent release to file down that copperhead bolster. looks like the 87 is a slightly wider knife and will save this mod project. I suppose its one id have to get deleted, perhaps in the f/s section someday.

Interesting that you say that - I've actually been carrying a 65 for the past week or so, getting ready for these 87s. It's a dandy, I love the blade length and though I know you aren't into it, that secondary pen blade will make the package even more excellent. Sometimes one needs something a bit smaller and that pen blade will deliver.

It's the pen blade from the 78 and 44. It could be the main blade on a smaller knife imo. I find it very useful.

I think LHS has over blown that issue. As he often does. I have the IPB like Dylan and have had zero issues.

I had completely forgotten about the rap issue, though I do now seem to recall that was prevalent only on the stainless versions? I've been using this pretty exclusively for over a week straight and it has had no rap issues, walks and talks like a champ.

I would be using the white bone one but my wife claimed that one as soon as it arrived. I am always thrilled when she takes an interest in my hobby so I was happy to have her add it to her collection.

I intended to sit this run out, but happened to be looking at my phone when CK early reserve posted. Figured why not? Well…I received the beaver tail today, and I find myself liking this pattern WAY more than I thought. Now I have the hummingbird acrylic ordered…gunning for a church glass and jigged bone as well. Going down the rabbit hole, but it’s a great pattern!

The best of the run for me. It's been my daily carry since release. No issues with blade rap. Nice spring on the white ones.

Actually, I don't think we've seen the hotdog shield in quite awhile. For a time, they were using it in every run.

I snuck into GEC and hid all the hotdog shield templates.

I have a Coal Oil Johnny enroute - should be here in the next day or two. Note sure if my luck will hold out for an OKCA and jigged bone NF (the other ones I am after) but I don't think those ones have been finished yet.

If mean me, I am aware of that. I just haven't got time to take some pics of my elderberry 39, it's pretty even, not totally, but it's perfect compared to some other examples I have seen. I was not speaking to you, I would have quoted you if I was. Perfect to you, others opinions may differ...

The Hummingbird Acrylic #87 came in today. Fit and finish is spot on; I really like the acrylic. The pull on the pen blade is nice; it’s a little soft on my Brazilian Cherry. I also like that the master blade is not etched on this one. Another home run for GEC in my opinion.
