I think so. Just a longer version of it. The beaver 87 feels lighter than the two 77s I have.

Maybe a better comparison to these Tidioute 87s would be the BF77. The only 77s I have are this one and a Barlow. This 87 is more like a boys knife to me.

for me it looks like GEC used the Bolster & Cap from the #77 Yankee Jack for the Tidioute #87 version and the #77 WJ Bolsters & Caps for the Northfield #77 version (thats why i wrote ''... in order to use the Yankee/Washington Jack caps and bolsters'').

I always go to knife releases by pattern section when I’m looking up a knife. They didn’t add pictures of any of the EC 77s to that page.

When did they made the 77 Yankee Jack? I never heard of any jack on 77 frame apart from the Washington Jack.

I looked at the production totals and it looks like they made some in 2014 and 2015. Looks like I’ll be adding a clip point Yankee Jack to my wish list now haha. That sawcut Tidioute is smoking hot!

the 2013,2014,2015 years were really good for its 15s,77s runs among other goodies, club knives, sfos, etc

Bill Howard introduced the new GEC pattern #77 2014 and again it was a PPP for the BladeForums #771114EC Stag Jack.

My Postie just came and delivered this beauty. The fit and finish is excellent. The handles are imho very attractive. But I believe that it’s the bolsters which complete the package! The blades are nice and snappy and the pull on the main is 6ish and 5ish on the secondary.
