GEC 2023 #87 English Jack

My 65 in Osage came in bubble wrap. Only one I've seen.

Not sure why they would protect some and not others if it's about the bolsters. I've never had a Northfield come wrapped in anything but wax, and those are usually the showpieces.

gotta get while the getting is good, thats what I always say. I wonder if Coal Oil Johnny knows Johnny on the spot.

What are you going to do with all those pen blades, Jack?? 🤷‍♂️
;)

They sit in a batch with all the others waynorth waynorth . Some time ago, I got it into my head that I would put the 86 parts together, I even bought brass to make pins which I did, but those projects seemed to have stalled out. The 86 main blade project build was finished by J jsdistin and now the pen blade projects sit. Some day Ill try my hand again!!!!!

The randomness of a mystery box always pulls at me in the most dysfunctional way.
I think most of handle materials GEC use provide a bit of randomness, more or less. They are always a mystery. :)
Looks like I’ll be admiring the royal blue from afar, just got the email that CK does not have enough for my reserve.
Hope you can score on other dealers' drops, man. Aiming at the Royal Blue myself.
I was a little taken aback, honestly.
Oh, come on. Maybe for a 5 seconds you been getting the knife out? After all, the knife itself what really matters. And maybe a tube art a little bit, if it's pretty. 😀
It is to protect the brushed bolsters from scratches caused by the wax paper.
Never would think that wax paper could be that much of an abrasive. Isn't wax helps it to not to be so?

What would you do with them? Genuinely wondering. They aren't even as random as acrylics, so why such big numbers?

If i like a knife enough, I generally buy two. Since Bill doesnt really release things I like in single blade, I gotta get one deleted eventually. The other I will save down the road. In the old days, gec used to release maybe 50 or so of a knife, theres a bit forced scarcity. They're much better on that now.

Oooh, white one is so cool! People who will get those, please post a pic of what's written on the tube's top. I wonder if individual color is somehow noted there, maybe as the font color, as usual.
I am also wondering what kind of smooth are they. Shiny-smooth, like on the camel 39 or more of a matte finish. Do GEC even make a matte bone or all of their "smooth" are mirror-like polished?
