GEC 25s - Gots 'em?

Jason (burnside), those are nice pics of the #25 Barlow Clip, and show off the handsome bocote. I was glad to sell it into a loving traditionals home. It did take a nice edge (Worksharp + Sharpmaker) and cuts like a little demon, doesn't it?

I hope you continue to enjoy it and that it serves you well!

Andrew

I have this one.

These are much older now from when these were reasonably priced

The bone color has faded to almost white

When I first posted this one, there was much derision on the Acrylic, but later folk here accepted acrylic as a handle material

Is that bone single bladed?

As of late, I have been reaching more and more for one of the 25's (Barlow, Jack, EO)

I'm enjoying the size and ease of watchpocket carry, to the point of just settling on this pattern alone.

Hmmmmmm, Behrings and Barlows. Has a nice ring to it.... :D

Heh.

I like this one o' yours all the more after you pointed out it has a satin-finished blade:

Looks easy to find once you put it down, too. :)

Today, for me:

The more I see of these, the more I like them.

(I know, big surprise.)

Thanks for including the back-side picture.

The unfinished areas at the spine and tang sure do set off the saber grind and swedge nicely.

The only markings on the blade are the Northwoods stamp, and USA at the tang? Cool.

Yes that's all of the markings. The blade style and finish is what attracted me to this model. I would love to see GEC do more 25's like this in the future.

Thanks for nothing. You now owe me $129. I blame it on you. :)

I really dig the craftsman-esque "Northwoods" engraving.

:D

Went for stag, did we? I look forward to seeing it!

Also, turn about is fair play: mr_badexample's posts above were directly responsible for pushing me off the fence.

What're a few grass stains among friends? ;)

Ha. Very well then. I did go for the stag (I don't have anything like it). I'll post a photo when I get it - probably will take a week though.
