Couldn't do pics with poor lighting on these beauties. My ebony Barlow has company now.

Hah! I was just over on GEC's site thinking how of the new 25's I really liked the snakewood and king wood the best...

The only one from the current crop to remotely tempt me, is the primitive bone. Today I'm carrying my old #25 Barlow in snakewood, sorry no pics, but here are my newest #25 singles. The drop point was borderline nail breaker, but after cleaning, oiling, working in, and most importantly, leaving it 1/4 open for a few days, the pull has lightened up amazingly. The jigged bone clip point has perfect pull out of the tube, but I may darken the bone a tad. Hoping for a richer deeper color.

Yep, these guys are addictive, and like it's been said in other threads, they've replaced the peanut(s) that ride in my watch pocket :)

Sounds great! I look forward to hearing your impressions of it. (I was going to ask is it here yet? is it here yet? but realized you wrote the above just yesterday. It feels like longer ago. ;))

It came in last week. Very little time with it but it seems very user friendly. Good F&F, firm but not a nailbreaker.

Very nice bone! I hope GEC makes some more drop point 25s. Does yours have a small crescent cut-out on one side (to more easily access the nick) that is sometimes seen near the secondary blade of the two-bladers...?

Ah, that's a good report, especially on the pulls. Sweet little thing. :)

Thanks for the picture!

Yep! It actually makes a nice fulcrum for my nail to lever up into the nail nick :)

Sweeeeeeet.

Thanks for the additional picture.

I like it even more, seeing this angle.

(Like that helps, given how many of these knives are made with Unobtainium. ;))

Finally got outside with the Snakewood. Kinda tough to capture the looks of some handles, and this is one of em. Just like many knives, always better in person.

I can tell by some of your other blades, you love the blue. And it's hard for me to blame you, as I do too. As 25's go though, I can't help but choose the handles of wood. I believe I'd get them all, if only I could. ;)

Looks like you're on the right track! Heh.

I, too, love wood covers-- but my ebony barlow is still filling me full in that regard, at least as far as 25s go. Whew.

You madam, have extraordinary taste! :)

Why, thank you. :)

I posted these pictures in other threads, but am now posting them below as well so they're browsable here in My Favorite Thread. ;)

A lot of excellent takes on the theme of a really desirable smaller knife, fine pix of fine knives thank you!

These are pocket dynamite, if you don't have at least one of them then you're missing out on a wonderful knife. That simple.
