I haven't seen the wharncliffe paired with a secondary pen on this pattern. But then again, I'd not seen a #25 barlow in smooth white bone until Perry posted his!
That's a #25 Jack. Thanks for playing.

(Always good to see your pictures.

You're right there Lyle! Everytime I look around the folder threads here, it makes me spend money.
Pertinux, the secondary blade is in fact a pen blade. No small Clip here! I will say this, this smooth bone is a very early one.
According to Barry and some I've talked to, these at first were made with this Pen blade, but the stamping on the bolsters didn't work so good.
You won't find many in this configuration.

Thanks so much for the further information, and the pictures. That's not just a pen secondary paired with the wharncliffe, but a back-side pen secondary.
Well, I'll be. An anomaly, for sure, in bone covers and blade selection and placement. (I love learning about exceptions like this. :thumbup

The latest WLST™ I have adopted.

Sweet! The figuring in the covers really suits the knife well.
It's funny to me, the order in which my brain takes in details sometimes.
This time, the progression went something like, "Hey, elk-- that means it's likely stainles- well, duh, there's the blade etch and acorn. Wait, I have that knife in zebra wood."
I've actually been carrying mine from the get-go today, and used it several times while out (major tasks like zipping off tags, plastic holders, and a plastic bag I'd gotten tangled up in).
