GEC 25s - Gots 'em?

As a matter of fact, I do.... (or will the new ones....)

The MOP barlow at the bottom (#13) is in my pocket right now....

Must be really great having that diversity. I would try to use a different one each day in front of a friend or co-worker. They would think you had a magic color changing knife!

Now, that's an array. :D Thanks for the picture, AKC-- a fitting Crimmus sight. :)

There's a good man.

Too funny.

I'd tell 'em,

"It's a mood knife."

Especially when carrying the Kryptonite....

I'll be admiring and pondering and Ooohing over this selection for a long time to come (the variety! the juxtapositions! the visual feast!), but a few observations for now, starting from the top left:

AKCs25s.jpg~original

• Abalone: Tic-Tac-Toe, AKC wins. (You've set them off so well, not placing them immediately next to each other.)
• Any chance this white bone(?) beauty has a secondary pen blade behind the wharncliffe main, as seen in Barry's Perry's Barry's knife above?
• Jobillo and the Short Run Shield-- Oh, la.
• An elusive drop point. Noice.
• Bocote? Striking grain pattern, that.

So much more to say (like, sure looks like you have some prime primitive bone representin')...

AKC, thanks for this. I determined not to post yesterday, but glanced every now and then and your picture had me smiling throughout the day (and still!). :)

Thank you, Sarah

2A is a Bulldog Brand EO, note the lack of pull, strictly a pinscher.... ;)

Actually, 2B is a Mammoth Ivory single Wharncliffe....

I think CKN still has some of the Jobillos....

3A is Primitive, 3E is also Mammoth Ivory....

Drop points, verrrry elusive, I keep looking....

5E is the progenitor, and 6B is indeed Bocote....

Hope you had a Merry, and Happy New Year to you and yours!

"GEC 25s - Gots 'em"

Well AKC you've gots 'em,a very nice collection.Well done, including display.

I had actually held off on those, didn't see any "patterning" that sent me....

Then these showed up....

:D

You're so right about the right "look" for those materials. GEC's tomato acrylic, too. I had to scope out quite a few before I found ones that had the right balance of colors for me and lots of interesting swirls on both sides.

For some reason these little things have always intrigued me. Little tanks is right. They are chunky in all the right places. Very nice to see. I've enjoyed looking through all the pictures. Such diversity, my head is spinning!

The Northwoods Bullet Jack is the 25 pattern right? Cause I just (finally) got one in smooth ivory bone!

Yep, it sure is....

You pickup bdev's?

I had to wait, glad it's going to a good home.

Yeah I did. I had to move some stuff around to pick it up, but I am super excited I did. I have been wanting a spear 25 as well as a Northwoods jack really badly for a while. Add in that I LOVE the smooth ivory bone (which I have on my Sheepfoot Charlow, my favorite carry) and I couldn't let it pass by. I hope another opportunity comes along for you to pick one up!

I've been looking at these 25's again and remembered this thread so I had to dig it up. It's been a while since it's been updated but I'm sure somebody has something new to add. :) If so lets see em! I have no fancy outside pictures but it's getting to be that time of the year when I should be able to get some soon. Here is what I have so far though.

Ignore the 15 EO on top. :)

Here are my newest additions to my small collection of 25's. This first one took me months to track down! Sarah is to blame for that hunt but man did it feel good to finally track one of these down. The second one I stumbled onto as well and hadn't really seen one on here yet. Plus I'm a sucker for a sheepsfoot easy open and Blood Red Bone so it only made sense. :)

Was stuck at work all day so this is the best pictures I could do for now with my messy desk as the back drop.

These little chunky knives have really grown on me over the last year or so...Now I need to track a Sheepsfoot down!

That Tidioute is one of the best I've ever seen, fine addition to your collection.

Thanks, Will
