GEC 25s - Gots 'em?

Very nice Jeff!! I'd like to see GEC use that granite stuff again.

Thanks, Trand. The HME must have been a more expensive process than the normal acrylics, as they only did some #23s and #73s in 2008, besides these #25s. They were all done in very small numbers, less than 10 of each, in red/black, teal/black, camo, and the granite.

I would love to see what that red black looks like

Me too, I've never even seen a picture of any of the other colors besides the granite.

Jeff - that is one of the most unique #25s that I've laid eyes on. Really beautiful.

3" is usually smaller than I go in a pocket knife, but the #25 is a special exception. Love this little blade:

I gots one (thanks to pnew :thumbup: )

Like it very much and have it in my pocket as I type this :D

The single blade sheepsfoot all steel is a beauty. So simple, so functional and so desirable!

Love it!

I've finally joined the #25 club.

I love how solid it feels in the hand. And it's size means it can just disappear in a watch pocket until I need it.

Thanks to everyone who keeps this thread alive, and presents #25s for us all to enjoy.

Reason #436 why it's rewarding to share one's knives with others, for their observations and appreciation:

I've had this knife for almost a year, a snakewood barlow that was the "poster child" for this particular cover within the run (serial number 02).

I've photographed and handled it often, and would have said I 'knew' the knife.

This past week end, I had the pleasure of meeting RobbW and showing him the knives I'd brought along, this #25 included.

Within moments, he spotted and asked about the "25" on the cover-- within the grain of the wood.

Hunh?

Take a look, to the right of the lower pin in this picture:

See it? I hadn't.

Now I can't not see it.

WOW! That is a beaut, Sarah! And that 25 in the wood grain is just the icing on the cake

My two most recent #25EO.

I have that very same 25 in snakewood. Mine is no. 17 however. Great knife....wish GEC would remake some of the old great 25s. I love the pattern, but it appears that most who have them are keeping them, and they're getting hard to find.

It was so nice to meet you last weekend, Sarah...and your Big Box O Knives. lol For those that don't know, Sarah has a beautiful and well-though-out collection of knives (many of which, but not all, actually are blue).

I think it's safe to say that we all really appreciate and scrutinize knives. It's funny the different things that we see in them. How cool that the #25 has a nature-made 25 in the snakewood? I never gave much thought to the 25 when it first came out. They really are amazing though. They're the mini-Snickers of the knife world: small and scrumptious yet not too filling.

Thank you! The stag is getting better with age - wish I could say the same....I was very fortunate to win this back in the spring and I carry it frequently. Another run of Drop-points would be really welcome&popular can't understand why GEC doesn't get round to it, but at the moment they seem to have become obsessed with Boys..:D

Regards, Will

Beautiful stag on that knife...and a rare drop point too. My grail would be a #25 in drop point. I have every other blade type.

Have to agree - that is one of the nicest #25s I've seen! And a Barlow, to boot!

I have 2 - this one in Black Walnut Bone. Unfortunately, it's one of the early ones with same size backsprings for both blades. The small blade is a nail breaker.
