GEC 25s - Gots 'em?

What an awesome collection! I cut mine down a little bit...but here is my current line-up!

I'm impressed! A very well thought out litter of pups there; a drop point, a wharnie barlow, two acorns and a Northwoods bullet not to mention the smooth blue and yellow bones, I'd be very happy with those :)

Thanks pmew...I am definitely happy with this group. I was buying to buy at one point as a new Collector and decided to look around for some that I had admired over the past year or so.

When I bought the first Acorn, I had no idea it was a 1 of 3 so I carried it two or three times. Then I stumbled upon the 2nd out of pure luck. I'd love to have the 3rd! But I don't want to be greedy...Lol!

I finally got off my duff and mounted the new display cases...
(please excuse the crappy photos, the light in the bedroom isn't very good...)

Alice's modest collection (the top 5), 3 that were her dads, and the Peanut and Copperlock the SIL gave me this past Xmas.
(indulge me while I include some non-25s...)

and the Forums set (so far...) I really need to find a 2008 & 2011. Plus my birthday Camillus (same age as me)

I flipped the display on the right to put the latches inboard, without realizing the baseboard is thicker than the top board. Fortunately, one doesn't really notice it when the doors are closed. (which is why I didn't notice)

Looks like there's room for 20 more at least... ;)

I tried to recreate the way I had the old display with tubes and boxes, seemed kinda spartan without them. I can actually fit tubes behind the knives, but I think they show better in front of the black velvet. Kind of a waste of space though. I may get to making some truly custom "25" cases someday, but these will do for now.

And I don't think the old shotglass display is going to be kicked to the curb, I have some assorted "other knives" I could probably use it for.

Rose Petals (bottom right of the left case) has been my constant pocket companion as of late...

Thanks for looking!

(bonus points to thems that can figure out the order in which I laid out the 25s...);)

You have the best collection of 25s I've ever seen. I am in awe! Great work with the cases AKC :)

Holy doo doo brother, that is an awesome collection of 25s, kudos to you for havin' the determination to display and share your collection like that. Must drive ya knutz that ya don't have the '08 & '11 annuals, I wish ya the best of luck, IIRC there were only around 35 or so 2008 CSC Ring Openers.

Argh! I've tried cross referencing year, endcap, barlow, Jack, main blade type, singles or doubles, shield, EO all in different combinations and I cannot see it! The only thing it might be (and I'm on my phone here so the picture might be tricking me... ) All the right hand cabinet - are they serialised where the left aren't ?

You laid them out in order of purchase!
Awesome displays, I still need a shot glass display(or get rid of them).

Why, clearly you've laid them out according to color and hue!

-- Wonderful stuff, AKC. Thanks for all you've shared of your weird little stubby beauties throughout, and for this most recent glimpse of your array in Array. Your affection for this pattern is downright inspirational. Nicely done!

Thanks! I'm not going to hold out too hard for a 2008, I know they're like hen's teeth. I have, however, missed a 2011 like 3-4 times already...

Nope. But keep working at it, you'll see it eventually...

Nice work on that display AKC

Thanks!

God, if I could remember that, that would be quite the feat! Thanks! I went back to find what I think is the (until now) most recent pic of the old display;

The shotglass display was a $3.00 Goodwill special, turned upside down and just sitting on the nightstand. $$$ well spent...

Thanks!

Going back for that older picture made me see just how long it took me to actually get to doing this. Ridiculous!...

So sayeth the Gold member with the Green Jeep... ;)

Thanks, Sarah.

I do like the pattern, pretty much above all others. That said, I am thinking of harvesting peanuts again...

I really like the 25 pattern I purchased a Northfield wharncliffe jack in the antique jigged bone. Very nice and now I am wanting a spear point blade, maybe in stag. My question is, is there a similar single blade spear point knife from GEC that comes in under 3 1/2 or 3 3/34 inches closed?

There are numerous 25s with a spear point in stag available if you shop about a little :)

Thanks pmew. I have one in my sights now. Also I think a Huckleberry Boys knife #15 single blade would be a good example of a single spear I might like to acquire as well.
