GEC 25s - Gots 'em?

Great write up Paul, I'm happy for you mate.

Even without the aura of rarity and grail-glow, that's a really fine, special knife.

Nice one, enjoy.

Categorically amazing: tale of desire, story of wishes fulfilled and of course, that awesome knife. Love the 25, thanks for the great read & pics.

My pleasure, cheers mate.

Thanks buddy, aura is the word.

That is a fantastic example, Paul! Congrats on finally obtaining it

:D

Beautiful knife and story Paul congrats.

Glad you enjoyed it :)

Okay technical difficulties have been fixed. Warning: This is a photo heavy post.

I love my 25s. I also included some photos of my bullet jacks as they are built on the 25 frame.

I'll include this as a link because it keeps showing up as a huge photo.

Been wanting to try a 25 for sometime now and am I glad I found this one to be my first. Excellent F&F, long pull, cloud shield, I'm particularly impressed with Che Chen wood it's beautiful, overall quite a little jewel. Probably won't be my last.

Any idea on if/when we will see a new wave of 25s? I never knew Northwoods made some; they look fantastic.

I asked Derrick from KSF when we might see Northwoods #25 jacks again. He could not provide any estimate.

I love this picture.

I've never handled one of these. At the time I was very put off by the thought of the heat treat scale weakening the pivot and I didn't like the huge northwoods logo along the blade - how foolish I was, I didn't yet realise what an obsession I would develop.

They were only done once in 2013

Cocobolo Wood 66 pcs. no serial number
Frontier Bone 67 pcs. no serial number
Orange Camel Bone 12 pcs. no serial number
Green Camel Bone 8 pcs. no serial number
Burnt Stag 69 pcs. no serial number

In my opinion the orange camel bone you see above is an absolute beauty.

Had a dream that I owned a bare head, ebony handled, brass lined 25 with a full size, long pull drop point and full size, long pull wharncliffe secondary. Is it too early to vote for a 2017 knife? :p

IMG_4544.JPG I bought several extra #25's from the last run in 2015 that I gave away as Christmas presents to my relatives. Now that I know how infrequently we see these come out, I wonder if my relatives would notice if I switched them out with some of my extra #14's. Carrying this one today.

I would love to own one of these Bullet Jacks, or anyone of the smooth handle spear point GECs. I wish someone could predict their next manufacture date so I would know how long I have to wait.

Thats is a Beauty!

Stunning additions, to personal collections and to this thread. I'm loving this. :)

Crazy goodness, here! The orange-accented Runt juxtaposed with the orange Bullet Jack makes me go kinda jiggy:

But, I'm probably most partial to this image:

I continue to carry my blue camel bone sheepsfoot single every day, and actually use it most days(!). Here it is in EDC array on a recent Friday when it all came together:
