GEC 25s - Gots 'em?

I think it took well over a year for me to score an Acorn shield Elk. It is absolutely gorgeous!

It indeed is... what a beauty!

Yes, and YAS!!!! The acorn-shielded sheepsfoot #25 remains a Best In Class. :D

... Is the EO notch original to that knife/pattern? It looks kinda not-so, to me.

But then, for all my enthusiasm for the pattern, I have not sussed out its variations to the degree that you have!

Minimalist 'campfire' this afternoon...

Oh, perfect, on so many levels. I love the fire!

UN-X-LD stamp = so great, on these wholesome little beasties.

I believe so, I confirmed the tube top by looking at the production totals;

It's a lovely piece all the same :)

Just copped a new #25 off the exchange, and I'm hooked. Amazing little knife, great feel in hand and awesome blade shape. First 25, but definitely not the last!

Nice snag! I didn't even see that one.

The Sheepsfoot EO 25's have always been my favorites of the 25's and the Red Micarta is among the best looking in my opinion. Congrats and great photos!

Thanks RS, I feel like I lucked out big time finding that one, now that I'm scouring the webs trying to find more for sale, and seeing how rare/scarce they are!

That's a great score Agartha Audio. Beautiful one for those micarta scales in that colour too: very elegant, very useful.

I agree Railsplitter, those 25 sheepsfoot EOs just hit a real sweet spot in terms of portability, ease of deployment, great edge and point dynamics, and of course have the aesthetics and worry-stone factor covered in spades.

The stag was just outstanding on that run too.

Although I'm likewise fascinated by just how much the watchpocket Barlows have got goin' on in such a compact frame.

Here's a family portrait I took for a previous post, but didn't use.

Weird Little Stubby Things®, all. ;)

Wow, P, that 'watchpocket Nessie' is really something. I haven't dipped into your Fiddleback thread yet, as I don't need any more encouragement to get more fixed blades, but now I'll have to head over there! It is a Fiddleback, no? I didn't see it in a quick scan of their site. And in O1? What's the spine thickness like?

BullRome, that stag reminds me a little of the mark side of my watchpocket Barlow. Initially I didn't rate it so highly as it wasn't that knobbly type of texture that tends to get all the accolades. Then down the track a bit, I was really smitten with a couple of primitive bone knives. Examining that little stag 25 one day, I realised that it's actually almost the exact kind of texture that Primitive Bone tries to emulate! Happy now... :D

And loving the smooth buttery parchment yellows developing in mine...

This is the only knife I've ever bought multiples of, exactly the same. Love them.

Cambertree, that is some awesome looking stag! 👍

Thanks Ratbert, yeah I don't think I've seen any stag that was less than exceptional quality on both sides in that run. i'm a lefty, so I'm finicky about the pile side, which can often be pretty ordinary.

With the benefit of hindsight, I would have got mutliples, like Alan with his stag watchpocket Barlows. And some of those Bocotes shown here were just amazing. Anyway, I'm very happy and thankful for the lovely one I have.

Thanks Alan, I completely agree. That Barlow was my entree to the world of GEC. It was love at first sight, my friend!

It is crazy the amount of variation on these #25's. Probably the best model to collect IMHO. Here are some of my favorites.
