GEC 25s - Gots 'em?

When it gets here. I'll make it a family shot.

I keep thinking I have all the variations and another one pops up.

GECs listing is a little vague when it comes to the Bulldogs...
 
I missed out on a Northwoods Bullet jack last Saturday. (I still don't have one)

Someone wanted it more than I did, and paid quite handsomely for it in the process.

The green one that's still on the 'bay has cracked scales and has been "fluffed and buffed". (sellers words)

I wonder if they have any realization whatsoever that they pretty much killed that knife by doing that?

Any Northwoods character it had got polished away...

This one has the greatest shading and depth to the dye on the bone. One might say root beer, but it's really more of a perfectly cooked Bananas Foster caramel, the pic really barely catches it.

Guess we'll see what the pound turns up next time...

Goodness me!

Of all my hunting for 25s, and I've had some good catches over the years, I've never landed a bulldog or a northwoods. But I'm determined to complete 2012, it's my main focus :D
 
AKC AKC Your posts of the 25 pattern is like finding diamonds in a jar of pennies. I didn't even know some of them existed. Here's my latest, a single sheepsfoot with an EO notch. Two of the things I've avoided. Now that it's in hand and cleaned up I have a feeling my search will expand. The light spot on the pile side is from the lighting.image.jpeg
 
^^^^Oh my , this is good news. Im not on Facebook so I won't be able to weight in . Knowing Mike ,wouldn't be surprised to see canvas micarta.
 
My vote is for clip and/or drop point. They have run both spear and sheepsfoot since the last time we saw clip blades. I don't even know when they did the drop point
 
I'm with you Mike , rather see either one of those over the spear. Nothing wrong with the spear , I have a bunch of them . Not many clips ( no single) and no drops at all

Sounds like he has settled on a spear blade, which is fine by me. Saw a couple of votes for Elk...that would be sweet!

More likely there is a planned run of spears coming up and he's considering an add-on SFO. In that case i doubt he could specify a different blade.
