How many total 25s have been made over the years? I mean how many different are there, cover differences included? 61 is an awesome amount. You must have one of most all of them.....

UGH! I am not even close. Over 225 variations if you include different blade types and serial vs non serial versions.

Wow, I had no idea there were that many variations out there. Keep up the good work!!

Do you have at least one of each year? And have they produced them every year?

Very good questions.

** consulting my little Black Book of 25s **

Initially I was thinking I did have at least one from each year produced but realized that I do not have any from 2010. Any one want to sell me some? ;)

As for years issued...
None were issued in 2006, 2007, 2014 or 2016. The most varieties were produced in 2008 and 2009 with very low production numbers on most. Bulldog Knives have SFOs in 2009 and 2010 and Northwoods in 2013 (the infamous Bullet Jacks which got me started on these little gems) and this year (Little Bays).

You can always check out the Great Eastern Cutlery website for full production lists from each year.

Wow.. 4 years of no 25s? I was surprised at that. I think that is actually a considerable amount of years for no production. Thanks for the very thorough analysis. So I take it that this is your favorite pattern? Do you find through the years that fit and finish has stayed constant? Better? Dropped a bit? A year or two of stellar or not so stellar fit and finish? Sorry for the group of questions but it intrigues me to here from someone who knows these 25 well. Thanks, again.

Yes, definitely my favorite pattern especially the 2 blade versions. 2008 and 2009 seem to be my favorites but this is because of the cover choices. I am usually not an acrylic person but acrylic covers just seem to be a perfect match for these little gems. (An aside: I am a huge blue mammoth fan for all time favorite covers but have yet to see a blue mammoth 25 unless it has been modded). As for fit and finish, and I am sure others have their own opinions, I have not noticed a huge difference. I have heard some people were not entirely pleased with this most recent run but the ones I received were of equal quality as any of the others I own.

I agree with you on that, I got 2 from the most recent run and they are every bit as good as the older #25s I have.
