Oh no, what a tragedy!Stop. They'd be just as profitable if they switched to rosewood and doo doo brown jigged bone. Its a fairly lame and lack-luster choice they went with. Its not even like it was some earlier run handle materials; they just rinsed-repeat.
Mine looks similar. I love how dark these are.I am happy with the one I got. Great execution on this piece. View attachment 2376527View attachment 2376530View attachment 2376532

It looks like black plum with new jigging and a NF finish to me.

I’m thrilled with the choices, the ebony is different than 2020 and a real winner IMOMaybe Bill wasn't happy with the 2020 version and wanted a redo? I think these look sharp (pun intended). The jigging is classy. Certainly not lack luster at all. With 5 cover options there should be something for everyone to enjoy in this run.

If they make something I don't care for I don't buy it. I don't cry about it, just don't buy it. Pretty simple.Im reasonably certain some of you would blindly praise them for literally anything they did.
You guys know you don’t have to right?
“Oh wow Bill Howard punched grandma in the face he’s so brave.“

Indeed, just ask the dealers who had #05s sitting on their shelves for months. If they make something I don't care for I don't buy it. I don't cry about it, just don't buy it. Pretty simple.

You seem very hurt by this particular knife though. Noone said that you had to like it.I buy plenty of things from GEC. I like a lot of it.
This is a forum for discussion. Pretending everything is perfect would be absolutely dismal. I promise you.

It's not the same knife from 2020, it is very similar but not the same (and no I'm not wrong).
I'm not being an apologist for Bill Howard, simply in the vain of knife discussion offering up a theory as to why they made the same/similar knife. I have no idea and neither do you.
It just didn't hurt my feels when they did.
