You may never see any handles like the Autumn Gold like that again Sean. The African Blackwood will always be around and looking just like that. To me it is a no brainer. Both are very nice .

This. Or, just send them both to me. I'll mail you one of them back. :D

Finally able to get a few photos. Family Portrait! :D

Nothing 'medium' about this in the quality zone, see what I mean?:D:D:thumbup:

Very nice photo Will and an equally nice knife. I think that those of us who got one will never get rid of them. Your photo really captured the color just right.

Thank you very much Harry.:)

Yes the colour is beautiful. I freely admit I've got quite a few knives I'd trade or sell (but being in Europe makes that a bit more tricky) but there are others that are firmly on the Keep Forever list. This is one of them, I will use it mind as I feel it's part of the appeal. I like a Spear blade, I like singles (mostly..), I admire the blade handle ratio, Knirvarna alright! Real contentment.

Regards, Will

Lots of good looking #77s out there! I have a question for you folks with the micarta version. Do any of you carry it without the slip? I feel compelled to because it just seems like a user that shouldn't be babied....BUT I just can't do it!

I have been carrying it without a slip, for that reason. The micarta makes me want to beat it up and see how it does. So I'm working on doing that. :)

But babying the heck out of the bone handles.

I just traded my Autumn Gold Bone for a Micarta, I can't wait to start beating it up. The bone was just too pretty to use.

Harry, I am pleased with the ivory 77. It's a great knife. I think it goes well with the brown slip as well, but even better with squash, broccoli, baked potato, coconut shrimp, and steak. :D:thumbup:

Brett, what a pic! And it's nearing dinner time up here in New York, so that really whets my appetite!

I'll post a pic tonight, but I've been using my Autumn Gold quite a bit. The blade combo and solid heft of the knife just begs to be used.

Well I think you've convinced me...its about time!

I carry my 2-blade micarta with and without a slip, but more with. Mainly because it just stays upright in the pocket better sometimes when it's in the slip, but when that isn't an issue I sometimes go without. besides that when it's in the slip I can take it out and leave it on my desk at work with no issue. Lastly, I like leather and Mike's sheaths are really nice.

Can still beat it up once taken out ;)
