GEC #77 Medium Barlow Impressions

I also can't wait to see the tan sawcut. The red looks good, i have one of each sawcut in sheepsfoot coming!
 
Just like the first run, these look great. With three different blades, and four handle choices, sure made it hard to pick.
 
I don't really care for the Wharncliffe on my first run NF Barlow...but as a single blade, they look really, really good. Can't wait to have my Barlows in hand.

I got one and one only coming, the Tan Sawcut in Clip main. This could actually wind up being the Barlow size for the future. Larger and single bladed, what could be better!

I wonder if all the barlows will be shipping with a button or will it be luck of the draw? My Mako didn't come with one :grumpy:

I don't think anything is going to replace the #15 Charlow anytime soon. Still the #77 is a wonderful sizes for a handy dandy pocket knife. Now all we have to do is to convince Mike Latham that most of us are not teetotalers and that we are in need of a Bee..... well you know!:D
 
I'm with Perry. I really, really like the #15's, but I haven't carried one of my Charlows since the #77 Barlow came into the rotation. I like carrying something with a hefty blade.
 
Hey Jamie, I think the answer would be yes, based on all the pics from GEC that show the buttons in almost every shot. I Know what you mean Armando! Ever since I received my first medium Barlow I thought, well this would be a great knife in a single blade version! Now my dreams are coming true, thank you Mike Latham!!:D

I do own one of the TCs but it will not get used. Being a gift from a friend, I decided to keep it in mint condition. Plus it is a bit small for my larger hands. I'm probably gonna wish, when this run is all over, that I had ordered more than one! Oh well, you can't have everything.
 
Hi guys, I'm a little late on these but did you guys preorder them and are they already sold out? I'd love to get my hands on a tan sawcut with a clip blade.
 
I'm very excited about this one! I can't wait to see it in hand. A long-pull, single sheepfoot Barlow in African Blackwood - Oh YES!!! :D :thumbup:
 
I've got (2) clips on order...wish I had the foresight to order a sheepsfoot too (they look classy with the long pulls). Now, I can't wait to see a spear point version with long pull....:p:D
 
I've got a clip and a wharncliffe in red and tan coming, wish I had ordered the other 2 also. I really like the 77 size, fits my hand perfectly, wondering how the single blade will feel compared to the 2 blade ones I have now.

They are going to feel awesome lol. :) If you have a 14' forum knife they will feel just like that only probably slightly heavier due to the barlow bolster being longer. Going to be a nice thin blade with lots of cutting edge that's for sure. Can't wait! I have Old Red Sawcut and Blackwood coming both Sheepsfoot blades. Wishing I would have ordered a clip in the Old Tan bone though.
 
I don't want to get ahead of myself, this being only the second run and all, but I wonder how much noise we have to make to get a caplifter on a NF Barlow!?!?!?! :D

I would love to see at least one run of the Northfield 77 Barlows be released with steel bolsters - any chance of that happening? :confused::confused::)
