GEC #77 Medium Barlow Impressions

I have to say, GEC really nailed this one. My copperhead is really about as nice as one could expect from a factory effort. Extremely close to my Moki's actually in terms of fit and finish. The blade has a nice taper and thin grinds. The action is just spot on, very crisp and snappy. The covers are gorgeous and the steel construction seals the deal. While not an inexpensive knife, it is definitely worth every penny in my book. Nice job folks.

Well said, you pretty much nailed it here. The 77's are just magnificent for a production knife. I've had either my sheepfoot or this spear/coping 77 in my pocket since Feb 2015. They're completely taken over as my primary EDC. I usually have a second knife also, but the #1 never changes.

Might as well post this pic here too! Love it. I've since "unpolished" the micarta a bit, which I prefer.

My impression is : There is no bad one .

The original goal was to have One for every day of the week plus one for an EDC .
I guess I am over my goal ???

Harry

payton206 that is a fine example and photo of the Bone Micarta!

Close to a pair of twins. Kind of like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito in the movie Twins. :D

Bob, that was a good movie, but those are great Barlows! :D

A beautiful Fall morning

And a beautiful 77 Barlow to enjoy with it!

IMHO I may be slightly favoring the Copperheads as my favorite. Can't wait to get home and get one in hand. :D
