Some photos of my copperhead 77 with a comparison between my single clip antique amber sawcut TC barlow alongside the 77. Beautiful build quality and dye on this run. Looks like the worms from the Bladeforums knife even took a nibble out of my Copperhead! Left some lovely bark texture.

I was lucky enough to reserve these two... one for me and one a gift for my friend, who likes them both but doesn't know one is for him yet. However, I am having the hardest time deciding which to keep. Copperhead is perfectly traditional and beautiful... Spring Green is cool, unique, more variety for collection.

Keep em both Drew and give him a SAK

Some lovely photos there..., and yes, the belly on this run of #77 is amazing! It gives a totally different feel to the knife - I believe similar design was used for the stainless run of #15 a few months ago.

I got in my Copperhead today. I didn't think anything could out-awesome my canvas micarta Barlow from last year's run, but I think this Copperhead may be even nicer. It fixes my one and only grievance from last year, and that is a pinchable blade. And while I'm a big spear fan, the big belly on this clip is absolutely outstanding. Very reminiscent of the clip on my Camillus-made 301, but with match striker pull. Great contrast between light and dark on the bone. I not usually a single blade knife kind of guy, but this blade just screams to ride on its own.

Well done Mike and GEC. You may have just created the perfect single blade Barlow.

My Copperhead came today. It's my first NF Barlow, and I've been feeling strangely guilty about buying it, since I don't 'need' another single clip blade knife. But it sure is nice.

I thought I'd take a picture along with the #77 Forum knife for a side by side comparison of the new "pinchable" clip blade. I'm not sure that I like it better, but then again I haven't cut anything with it yet.

I expect you will get over the Guilty feeling r8shell .

Is it just me, or is this new 77 crazy comfortable to cut with? The 77 frame has always been comfy in the hand, but the belly on the new pinchable clip puts the blade at just the right angle.

Figured I'd post this one here as well. I love that blade profile on these. Big belly, thin grinds, and the long pull really compliments the sharp swedge. I'm excited to see how the micarta ages.

Hmm, I guess I'm going to be the unpopular guy, but I have a two blade 77 saw cut barlow and I think I'd prefer a single blade clip in the old style over this micarta clip. I just like the old style clip better I guess. This is still s beautiful knife though

It may be a minority opinion, but that doesn't make you unpopular. I've been carrying my 2014 forum knife all week in anticipation of my new Barlow, and I think I prefer the less belly-fronted tip. It seems more extreme than the clip blade on my beloved #15 TC Barlow, though that could be an effect of the size difference.

Not that there's anything wrong with the 77 Barlow- it's beautifully made. Thanks to GEC and Mike for making this sfo available. :thumbup:

Absolutely, thanks Mike. Beautiful knife for sure. I hope I didn't come off as unappreciative. Not sure anything can dethrone the wharnie/ old style clip 77 as my favorite barlow though.
