For whatever reason, I'm not a big fan of clips on traditionals

I ordered a Queen Barlow Red Stag (#69 1/2") today from Towelhead Services Administration this afternoon. I hope it is a pretty (and as functional) as the Stag being held by the Merry Mad Monk. The closed length of the knife is 3 1/2 inches. I am looking forward to whittling with this modern version of an old classic.

    Cross your fingers for me!

Yep +1. I'm not a big fan clips by comparison to some other types, but I like them all in the right context. My first Case Barlow was a clip?

Well done my friend. Good bump. I've been stuck mostly with my 74 al, jigged. Stuck is not the right word.

I agree! I have many fine knives, but I do think that this may be my favorite.
    Thanks,

Is that a natural patina or forced one.

    Looks good either way.
