GEC #77 Medium Barlow Impressions

Thanks all and Mike for the pics! The 77 Yankee Barlow is shaping up very very nicely!

Thanks in advance Mike, all of your Great Eastern Cutlery SFO's have been exceptional:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: and I am lucky enough to have a few of them. :D

Was there a preorder for these and are they all spoken for? Would love one of those African Blackwood ones. Absolutely gorgeous.

well lookie here:

....
BF cracks me up... First of all there is dissension when several of the family chime in that a wharncliffe is not a traditional barlow blade - then there is an uprising for a bottle opener  But I don't see any sense in limiting what we can do by anything other than demand.
....

Since we're discussing a non-traditional traditional caplifter/wharncliffe, how about some micarta scales?:foot::D

My first impression on that is... meh.

Colors look pretty washed out. Maybe it's the photo.

It's not too, too bad, but I mistakenly thought this was going to look different... Maybe more like the Antique Amber. Pretty cool nonetheless.

Glad I went with the red as that tan just doesn't appeal to me but if it would have turned out looking like that antique amber I'd be very upset for not getting one! Man that is one nice looking Charlow. Can't wait to get my red and blackwood 77's though!

I like the tan, very vintage feeling. Looking forward to seeing it in person and really looking forward to seeing the first pics of the sheepsfoot blade style.
