GEC #77 Medium Barlow Impressions

Okay I take back what I said about not like the tan bone now! On a proper background and a quality picture it looks great! Very classy and that smooth bone version looks fantastic and how did I not know about that option. :)

It wasn't an original "option". If I understand correctly from the CollectorKnives website, these are "parts knives" assembled with leftover parts from the regular production knives and using available handle material.

Yep, I should have order the clip in Tan..:)

I sure would love to see what the Autumn Gold looked like as a saw cut. Maybe the next run Mike ;)

Wow, what a fabulous run a knives! The pictures just keep coming and getting better and better...

Bob is right; this topic came up when GEC inadvertently put it on their schedule. I had requested that when the original four slabs were completed, the remaining parts be made into a smooth autumn gold option that we would keep quite because I couldn't have any way to forecast the production of them. I now have all the clip models (clip only so far) except a handful that were sent back to have small issues resolved.

Bummer - wish the smooth bone could have been part of the original run. It's a real knockout.

Looking forward to getting some of the leftovers on the website. Great looking knives.

Wow those smooth autumn bone went fast. Like less than a minute fast.

I got one! :eek::thumbup:

Now... can someone please come over and explain this to my wife?

A feeding frenzy! I wonder how many were made.

The sheepsfeet do look a little high in the frame but I know that different camera angles can exaggerate that to some extent.
I still ordered 2 :D I think they are the neatest blade shape for the pattern.

LOL!! I'm in the exact same boat..... I couldn't let this one slip by though. I'm curious to know how many were made as well.

I managed to get one of the smooth autumn bone. There were either very few knives, a lot of buyers, or most likely a combination of the two.
