GEC #77 Medium Barlow Impressions

The pics will sure be flying on Thursday! :)

Yep! We may even overload the Blade Forums server with everyone trying to upload Marlow pics. :highly_amused:

Mine got to the Wichita post office early this afternoon. Should be in my grubby little hands as soon as I get home from work. :victorious:

We're all dying here!!

That is some great looking stag you got there, Turkish. Makes me wish I had ordered a stag one. Can't wait for my red and yellow to show up.

I ordered and paid for a "Medium Barlow" with Clip blade and African Blackwood on Jan. 7th but have not yet received it. Did you folks receive a tracking number for these ? Many posts here indicate the poster knows it will arrive "tomorrow", so if no tracking #, how do you know ?

KJ, I think the moderators will be in here any minute now to tell you that this is not the place for such discussion.

Got mine today. They are beautiful.

Is there a way to get my wharncliffe blade to close deeper in the frame? The point just barely snags my finger when closed and I'm planning to EDC it so just one or two sharpenings and it'll really be dangerous.

Photo's like soulrack223's have me really kicking myself for not getting one with Blackwood covers. Beautiful knives and I look forward to the rush of pictures being posted today.

Originally ordered the sheepsfoot but when GEC came up short I offered to switch to the clip which arrived today in the tan sawcut. Really happy with it, nice knife and I love the tan sawcut bone. Here is a quick and dirty snap right out of the package.

Slide13....That looks great in the tan. I thought my old red clip was going to show up today, but my man didn't have it!:(

I've mentioned it in another thread. I'll mention it again. This forum is not for commercial discussion related to orders, pre-orders, shipping info, prices, purchasing or any of the other myriad of things that can be described as commercial.

It's for the discussion of the knives, as is this whole sub-forum.

This is from the guidelines, posted here,

I am very excited about these knives. The fit and finish is fantastic. I am going to really like the slimmer 77s. My favorite (in the 1/2 hour these arrived) is the slightly darker tan. The Sheepfoot blades appear a bit high as others have noted. However in the hand and pocket it feels very nice. In other words the blade feels just fine. The stag has an excellent popcorn texture just the way I like it. The covers match nicely. I just wish the thickness matched as nicely as the texture. However, it does feel good in the hand. The pull on the knives range from about 6 to 8.
