GEC #77 Medium Barlow Impressions

Coping secondary. Mike is a crowd-pleaser. So happy to see steel construction.

OMG!!!!!

Mike you're awesome!! What a great combo - a long-pull spear with coping secondary BEHIND the main!! Perfecto!

Reserved my two blade in Old Red Sawcut bone.

PS: and yes the all-steel construction is a nice feature.

Anyone know if this October run that just came up will be Northfield or Tidioute?

Same here, two-blade in Old Red Sawcut. It'll be my first #77.

In for ... too many.

Very true Nugun, I looked at how many I was going to reserve and slimmed it from 5 to two. Two blade micarta for whittling and blackwood single blade for everything else ;; the options here are endless..and costly

I'm in for a single blade stag, and a single blade natural micarta. I'm hoping the stag will be as good as the previous run of 77s.

Very nice, have been long awaiting the spearpoint's appearance! Needed a red sawcut single blade to match the previous #77 releases as well as picked up a single blade in ivory bone. Loving the all steel construction

Just yesterday my co worker and I were discussing if a Northfield Barlow ever comes out in a spear and all steel construction we would each jump on them, He a Blackwood and I a smooth ivory...and today of all days I get an email. As soon as I saw an email I stopped working and my coworker reserved a single blade blackwood and I reserved a smooth white bone. we've been waiting for a northfield barlow in spear. All steel construction and long pulls are selling features for me. Coping, secondary behind the primary is great news too. Long story short YAH!!!!!

YES!!! The coping is my favorite secondary blade, plus being mounted behind he main blade is just awesome

So happy I saw this I was about to buy a sheepfoot 77 Barlow from the exchange. I reserved a red saw cut spear point. This will be my first gec barlow I am pretty excited for oct.

I am pumped about this release. The all steel construction was the only thing that I liked about the TCs over the NFs. The coping secondary is a great choice. Now I just have to decide which one to reserve. :D
