Thanks for the very kind words Paul but , I got both of them at the same time , but the other pictures that I may have posted did not bring out the Ridge in the bone . I was really surprised when I saw that picture myself . The Ridge on mine is most likely not as Tall as yours though . This one will be my Keeper and the other one will be Gifted . Another great job by GEC IMO .

Well now we're deep in the weeds on small details and personal preferences. I feel the same way about shields on barlows as I do about those torx fasteners on all the Lionsteel slippies-- I'd rather they weren't there, but neither is a dealbreaker for me. I'm only about a 6-7 on the purist scale though. I also like longpulls, but plain over matchstrike. Perhaps we should start an official poll to affirm or condemn the AAPK club knife, and in the event the nays have it, prepare the horses for battle. 😆
 
GEC have used way worse jigged bone on some of their knives compared the AAPK 86. Did you ever see the GEC 15th anniversary knife jigged bone? The words unimaginative and WTH were you thinking come to mind.
 
Have not missed a day carrying this one since it’s arrival. For me that says a lot ! I normally can’t carry the same knife longer then a day or two .

Very unique but not as “special limited edition” as we thought bolsters?😅:(

I could’ve got one of those knives but it was very “meh” to me. Not a knock on the forum or any of the members at all. Hell, I am one - I hang out there too. Just didn’t think that much of the knife.

yup, that was the point ;) GEC makes and sells knives, and they do very well at their marketing game. LOL

I think this knife is the best of the run other than the shield, barlows and jacks should be 2 blade and having a sheepsfoot main makes it all the better, jigging is very well done and jigged bone is unusual for a barlow. Mine should be here Monday so will have a chance to compare to the single blades.
