GEC #86 2021: Angus Jack, 2AB, Spring Street Barlow (BF Knife)

Possibly against my better judgement, I managed to order a medium rare AJ earlier today. I think it is a fantastic looking knife, but I have some reservations about how it will feel in use, particularly using the pen with the sheep closed. But it had me curious enough to want to try it, especially when I got lucky enough to stumble into a drop!

That's going to be the best of the run imho.
If I would've seen it I'd've grabbed one too.

Anybody get an Angus Jack in had yet? I’m interested in opinions as they get in the hands of some users.

I got mine. It is a very nice configuration and the master blade is fairly hefty. It fells really good in the hand for its size. The tang points don't really fall on your fingers unless you really choke up. If you have the pen open, the slope of the master does protrude in your hand, but not unmanageable to me. I Don't know if I'd pick it for long term sessions, but more manageable that I thought. I'll be interested to hear hear other opinions. Mine is sort of a hybrid. Black well done with a few red/brown strides. It was marked well done.

I like it, however its kind of a navy or rope knife in farm knife clothing.
Or with the pen secondary a loom fixer?
I am probably mistaken, but weren't the "rope knives" all either a single sheepsfoot or sheepsfoot and maln spike?
