Man the pull on mine is just about the stoutest Ive seen from GEC since the secondary on the whalers. I generally like mine to be pinchable so im still on the fence with it.

I am with you. You've got to have a strong fingernail and the long spear point is a hazard when you are putting so much strength into it and gripping so low. Gonna take some getting used to.

Really happy with mine in Elderberry. I'd say the pull is about an 8. Not a problem at all. This really is a great knife.

Regarding the strong pull. I am noticing that my spring dips in about 1mm at the half stop. What do y'all make of that? My other GECs are proud or flush at the stop.

Wow, how totally weird, my ironwood does the same thing! Usually, like you said, it's proud or flush.

Yeah, I don't really worry about what my knife does at half stop. It is an interesting observation tho!

And yeah, you would have to really be fooling around to get this to close on accident!

This is the best jigged I've seen. Having some doubts about blue in comparison. Especially with the heavy pull, it would be nice to have some friction.

My ironwood, like yours, does not have the etch. I like it, actually I prefer this particular knife without the "DLT TRADING" etch, to my eyes, the knife looks sooooo much better !

I like it as well. It took me a minute to figure out why it looked a little off. I don't mind the DLT etch (it's better than bunny knife), but you're right, on this particular model it looks better without one...

To be honest I’m just happy that I was able to score one etch or no etch. It’s such a great pattern.
