GEC Fixed Hunters H10, 50 & 60

I picked up a couple of 2010 fixed blade GECs to go with my humble collection. A H731 bird and trout, and a H232 Canoe pattern, both in 1095.
The 73 has scratches on the blade that I have not worked on yet, but what sold me is the quality of the stag.

Now I have two in SS, and two in 1095.

Nice ones hamsco
especially like the H23...they don't pop up too often and one in stag is real cool to see!

Nice fix up on that H10 Brumby53 it looks good in stag, like it's an antique or vintage piece. The sheath is cool too, custom isn't it?

Happy to have this one, thanks Bob.

I have a couple that don't get the use they deserve. The H10 has stag added by me ( the knife was in a rough state when I picked it up)

Nice leather for the H73. Did you make both of the sheaths?

And the H10 mod is perfect. Great job !!

@redsparrow; The stag was some I'd been saving in the shed for a few years and yes the sheath (in fact both sheaths) were made by me

@hamsco; Yep both are made by me the H73 sheath is Kangaroo Leather recycled from an old R M Williams Boot.

Thank you both for your encouraging comments.

Derek

That sheath-from-a-boot is awesome! Very cool way to recycle.

Really liking the looks of those H734 blades... Off to do a search... :D

WhoaWhoaWhoa! love that Trail of Tears knife tongueriver. Had no idea GEC did that, thanks for sharing.

I have three, the H10, H50, and H60....they're all great, and a superb value for their cost.

Joe...The grooves on the burnt orange bone really make this handle.

Tongueriver...thanks for showing us fans a unique SFO skinner, the curves on this one catches one attention:thumbup::thumbup:

For Stag Saturday
I got a #60 today. GEC made 18 in 2007, and one in 2009.
No date on the tube end, or the knife. It's a nice size.
It was sent with this later sheath. Which it fits OK.

H50 and H60

Is that old Westinghouse micarta on the top knife? It looks fabulous! I know Westinghouse comes with a sealed, darker layer on the surfaces that looks almost like a deeply dark burl wood, and that handle looks like they merely cut a pattern in.

Connor

ConBon, That is natural micarta that is cut and checkered. The checkering is very sharp.
