GEC IS MAKING TRAPPER KNIVES IN 2020.

How’s the typical execution on the 23’s? Any blade wobble or centering issues?

Generally well done. Previous runs had low springs at half stop, but I hear they're fixing that.

I am gonna need to get my hand on one of these #23s! Big Ole Trapper!!! Yes please! Gotta be quick with that reserve button.

I'm glad someone is watching the AMKCA Instagram haha I figure if OKCA sent theirs out a while ago and it's common news here on the forum it'd be okay to post.

I just got my email. We OKCA club members all got to move fast on this one. I am heading to the bank and post office in the morning. Looks like this #23 is going to be a smooth Autumn/Goldenrod Natural Bone . In the picture the secondary blade is the same as the main blade . I believe that picture has a mistake. The OKCA club knife has a beefier secondary blade. I'm not sure what they call that beefier secondary blade. That is why I am here on Blade Forums to learn. I am buying both knives , so I am super excited. I want a Sambar Stag #23 two blade , if GEC makes one. No telling what is on Bill Howard's creative mind. The hunt is on ! "GEC KNIFE COLLECTING IS WAR !"

The AMKCA has the same blade setup as the OKCA, mark side full size clip pile side full size spey.

Also, according to Bill it's like an unjigged antique autumn bone on the AMKCA.

I can't wait to see the OKCA club knife for 2020!!
I can't wait to receive the OKCA and the AMKCA club knives in my left hand. I own Boker Trappers and those #23 Trapper beefy secondary spey blade threw me off. I am real excited about this #23 run. Bill Howard is doing the smart thing by offing two blades up front. I bet after 2/3rds of the #23 production run , GEC will announce single blades . I want both myself. Seems like single blades always sell out first. Releasing double blades first , might be a better business decision. Two blades , One blade , slipjoint , liner lock , or bull-lock , I am going fool on this run.

This picture isn't even close to all of them that have been produced!! The company could almost change its name from GEC to GET!!!:D
They have made many sizes of Trapper with numerous handles!! If you have one, or some, please post it/them!!!:)

Keep coming back to this picture, the Horsecut Bone has become a mania :D;) start dreaming about THAT on an Easy Pocket Congress or on a Forum Knife

So what do we think this run is going to look like.
Any insight on covers, other possible sfo's ( have seen okca and amkca).
Just two blade or do you think we might see some singles.
Personally would love a single blade LL in stag

My guess is that the club knives will be doubles and the rest of the run will be single linerlocks just per your request.... Large stag is a bit tough right now; but maybe....

I surely hope double blades are not restricted to club knives, as none of the clubs will accept me as a member due to my serrated and checkered past.

Liner locks are not my favorite, so still hoping for back lock........

I might be up for an ebony single blade. I'd prefer a slip joint though.

The linerlock does not delete the slipjoint. But maybe they will be old school stiff spring traditionals.

Generally they try and differ the general run from club knives by more than just the slabs; but maybe so. Been a while since we have had an extra large; nailbusting slippy. It would surprise me if they introduced an entirely different frame for a lockback when they have several other lockback patterns to use.

A single blade #23 with liner lock would be awesome. I have a two blade #23 with double locks which is cool but a single would get more use. Stout pull and stag would be ideal.

Well, if we are putting in our #23 wish list...
I'd like to see a single blade, barehead, jigged bone, slip joint, with a very stout pull.

Looks like one a of the #23s trappers will be Brazilian cheery wood. Sound like another beaver shield knife will be produced. GEC had a muslin micarta scales photo. I like the beefy drop point blades that I spotted. I am in for the cherry wood #23.
