GEC new #43 pattern, who’s excited?

Another SFO on the 43 and there wasn’t supposed to be any? This time it’s cattle bone.

I wonder if they are going to a dealer or a club like the green jigged with the beaver.

M Mitt I don’t know you got me a little worried now about the blade .
My frontier and beaver are good but I’ll see what my second beaver looks like tonight and the micarta that’s on the way . I’m hoping that was just a isolated problem you had .

I think they will. Most everyone has reported no issues. Mine may just be my luck of getting the one bad out of the lot.

Hope so although again sorry you got one like that . I think with such a big blade and then if you have a strong snap those might be the ones to have the slap more then others .

Oregon Knife Collectors in jigged bone is on the schedule. But take the headings on those pictures with a grain of salt.

They also posted a picture of a bull at the end of the hall. So do you think it will be a cattle bone 43 with the bull shield and if so does anyone have an idea where these are headed?

Your imagination is on overtime...that idea would be sweet...though I believe the bull photo your seeing is for the 71 Bullnose which is next on the production schedule

The NF Green Bone standard production will come with the NACB shield. That may be the bull lead-in.
 
Hmmmm that shield may make me want to spend more green on a 43. But I’ll have to wait till the next two 77 lottos are done.

That’s exactly what it’s like with almost the same odds lol .
Seriously feels like the same amount of odds anyway .
 
I caught the beaver fever. I just ordered a canvas 43 to go with my jigged wood. This is a very practical pattern. Thanks Barry!

It’s such a great knife it’s hard not to like and in my case love .
Think we’re in the same boat lol I’ve got a Frontier Bone that’s a keeper along with my fav The Brazilian Cherry little Beaver tail :)
I’ve got another beaver tail waiting for me at home in the mailbox and micarta in route .
Who knows what’s next !
 
Well my second beaver tail arrived and it has not disappointed. Another first class example I couldn’t of hand picked one better and that goes for my last 3 :thumbsup:
I feel very fortunate and very happy :D
Great walk and talk dead nuts blade centering . Somebody pinch me I think I must be dreaming after such a rocky start im kind of in disbelief lol.
My only dilemma was I planned on selling my least favorite and I want to keep them all !! Now I can only hope my Micarta that’s on the way is as nice as these 3 :)
