Been looking for new, or new to me, tv shows to watch. I never cared much for TV in the past and while I was in the military I missed everything that aired, once I got out I never had cable and just watched movies. lately though I been tearing up TV shows and this new computer makes it way more enjoyable, the nice pretty HD screen helps too :)

so whats yalls favorite Tv show of all time? .....lmao so whats yalls.... sounds so redneck and my computer red lines the words as wrong lmao...

I loved fringe, sad I watched it all already.
don't care for walking dead much, or any other zombie/vampire/werewolf type shows or movies
Despite the reviews I liked revolution, especially the 2nd half of the 1st season
been watching Nikita and Alias back to back starting at episode 1 of each. both are good shows but Alias is quite better IMO, I hear the original le femme nikita might be better but haven't seen it.
And just started Person of interest, episode 1 and I think its going to be a great show too...

So what have you enjoyed watching in the last few years or so?

That first bit almost got you stabbed until I read the second part. The original La Femme Nikita was an amazing show, and definitely worth a watch. Alias was based off of it (no matter how much they try to claim it wasn't).

If you like Sci Fi, Farscape was a great one. I've heard Stargate SG1 was pretty good too, especially after most of the cast of Farscape ended up on there, but I never got around to watching that one. Archer and The Venture Brothers are two series that are fantastic as well. 30 Rock is a great show, Parks and Recreation is pretty good too. House was a good one. The new show Elementary on CBS is good (it's a modern day retelling of Sherlock Holmes) and the British show Sherlock is absolutely fantastic (but unfortunately incredibly short, each season only as 3 1.5 hour long episodes, but definitely worth a watch). How I Met Your Mother is decent, as is Community. If you like more action then the show Strike Back from Cinemax was fairly entertaining.

And that is about it off the top of my head. I'm sure others will chime in as well.

Yeah, it sucks that shows that start out with a great story tend to degrade into high schoolish romance drama. Mythbusters is a good one to avoid that junk!

I agree, the seconds Doctor in the new series was great. Had David Tennant had Matt Smiths story line, the show would be far better...but I guess the ladies prefer Smith.

david tenant for the win... I was bothered with the switch and never finished the series.

Rescue Me was a pretty good show. I like a lot of old shows too. The Rebel was pretty good. As for newer shows, Sons of Anarchy and Vikings are good.

My father liked the rebel! Ill check out rescue me. Got tired of Sons of anarchy. really enjoyed the first couple seasons then It just got old to me. never heard of Viking.... Ill check it out if I can find it

Oh damn, I forgot to mention Falling Skies. Sounds a little more up your alley, it's a sci-fi show.

Thanks man, that falling skies looks good and is now on the list!

Lmao, yea im going to look into the original as I read a lot of people saying it was way better than the newer Nikita. but as it stands with the newer version.. Alias is better IMO its a great show.

Farscape.... far escapes my attention span, lmao its TOO SCI-fi-ey for me....im not into star trek, galactica, farscape, stargate or any similar shows really... I was surprised I like doctor who... really I could only handle a little doctor who at a time but it was still ok.

I looked up the venture brothers.. Its a cartoon lmao, don't get me wrong I love me some Phineas and Ferb but when the kids are in bed and I get to watch my shows I go for something a little less animated ! Parks and recreations is a good quik comedy but not much of a story line to follow but ill take an episode when I only got 20 minutes to spare and want to laugh.

House..... one of the better doctor / nurse / surgeon shows but still... how many shows are going to copy this theme..... Its played out IMO

Ill check out strike back... as long as its not the emperor strikes back...

Speaking of that, my wife says I shouldn't be considered a US citizen because I never seen any star wars and have no interest in seeing them....

Great... I lost mental track of where I was......

A few of my favorites are House, Dexter, Prison Break, and Lost. Lost, lost me after a while though.......It started getting to be too much so I quit watching it. I loved Prison Break....it gets really complicated, but always has you wondering wtf is going on and keeps you entertained. Dexter is just awesome. You should really take a look at House again......its not the same as all the other doctor shows. There is way more to the plot than just figuring out what is wrong with the person in every episode. House is an addict which plays into the plot a lot. He's a genius too and can really manipulate people to get them to do what he wants. Check out a season or two and I bet you really get into it.

Venture Brothers and Archer are animated, but they are definitely worth watching. Venture Brothers is a spoof of the old Johnny Quest cartoons, and is absolutely hilarious, and is very much an adult show. It revolves around a scientist whose dad was a brilliant success, but he is a pill popping failure. Archer is a show about a misfit spy agency that is always screwing everything up. Both of them are very, very funny. Hell I believe Murph recently quoted Archer the other day.

Prison break was very good.... the first season anyway....... after that ...there in jail, there out of jail, they want back in , they want back out.... I got over it... same with lost.. The younger brothers tats were badass too, I got a couple ideas from the show for a few tats of my own.

I give House a lot more credit than I give any of the other Medical shows, I have seen quite a few of the episodes... I have seen a lot of episodes of a lot of them type shows. My wife loves House and all the other medical shows, I guess since she is in the medical field she enjoys it more than me.

I have seen some episodes of the animated archer, it was ok, but if im wanting to watch a funny animated comedy ill go with Phineas and ferb, when I want an adult show/movie its not going to be animated. I got 2 small kids and a wife that are addicted to Disney movies and other cartoons, I break free of animation whenever possible.. And music TV, music awards, musicals, movies or shows with too much theme music are all direct negatives with me. Dance offs as well, might as well be a cheerleader movie IMO....

Mad Men and Duck Dynasty are the only two shows that I make it a point to watch.
Both shows are very different from each other. They're both entertaining though.

Check this out: Is it Friday yet?

Very possible, Sterling Archer is my hero.

Since my D and all the chaos over the last year, I haven't gotten jack for dirt time in quite some time. As a result, I have a whole pile of toys that sit there untouched, other than my EDC folders. Oh wait, I cut some ocotillo with my BK-7 six months ago. Anyway, it was so weird a few days ago to break out my Leatherman, which had gone largely unused other than a few small tasks here and there, and beat the living crap out of it. The setting? Yardwork at the girlfriend's house haha.

I was at her dad's house a few days before, helping him with some stuff, and he spotted me using my LE Phat Bob. He called it "a toad-sticker" and was suitably impressed. He had a jigged bone slipjoint of some sort. Apparently he's got a knife collection, so I wouldn't be surprised if one of his ends up in my pocket at some point. I can tell you that he'll be getting something from GEC from me at the next opportunity.

No one interested in Defiance? Starts tonight on SF. From the makers of Battlestar Galactica and Farscape.

Project Free Tv, btw...if its not on Netflix. :) it makes slow days at work very bearable.

I think archer is pretty funny myself. I don't know if these have been mentioned yet but Burn Notice and Justified are pretty good. So is sons of anarchy.
