Gentlemans Office EDC Deep Carry 3in or Smaller

Get a Spyderco Pingo and find someone to do a nice set of custom scales for it.

valet vs 0770 vs sebenza size comparison.

Thank you nice pic, really like the look of the valet there

UPDATE:
So after a lot of research I bought
Mcusta 53 gentlemans knife (used eBay)
AG Russell Acies2 titanium framelock ZDP-189
Spyderco Dice deep carry clip mod
Al Mar Hawk Ultra light
Kershaw Leek D2 composite with deep carry mod
AG Russell K12 titanium one hand knife in cocobolo wood with VG10
I love each of these in their own way but I still feel like I am in search of the perfect small EDC gentlemans knive.

I handled the Techno, Native, Charparral, Sage, and many more but didn't feel the love. Not going to lie, I prefer my EDC with Sub 3 inch blade. So far my favorite knife I own that goes everywhere with me all the time is the Al Mar Hawk. I wish it had a nice deep carry clip but it rides in my pocket pretty well.

So my new question is has anyone held the:
Broker Plus Petite Urban
Chris Reeve Mnandi(love this design and look, wish I loved the clip)
Chris Reeve Small Sebenza
Or have any other recommendation?
All the other knives I own are in my original post, I have since warmed to most Tiawan knives and a few Chinese ones made by AG Russell, but I prefer to buy US if I need a tie breaker.

LionSteel? The TRE is a sweet little knife. All titanium or Ti+G10.

^^^^or get the ti-cf version--a little pricey but the quality is awesome.Or the small sebenza cf model thats a knifeart exclusive--have one of those also.

Taichung Spydercos are good (really great) to go. The Firefly is a neat little knife. I'm very "meh" on the Techno.

I like my small Sebenzas but I've really fallen for my small Inkosi. It's always on me.

Take a look at some of the Mcusta models. I have been very happy with mine. The quality and fit and finish was amazing on the models I have. Also they are the sharpest knives out of the box of any I have ever bought. I currently have the Yoroi and Tanbo models. Both of these are smaller gentleman sized knives abit smaller than a small Sebenza. However these models I own do not come with pocket clips, they come with a fancy little silk belt pouch.

Mcusta also makes models that have clips. They are very classy little gentleman's knives.

Another great gentleman's knife I have is the Spyderco Air. However that also has no clip. Maybe take a look at the Kiwi 4? The Techno is just such an amazing knife in my opinion too. It is part of a special category of small knives that when you hold them feel very capable and sturdy for their size. Other knives I would put in this category are the small Sebenza 21 and the DPX HEAT.

Anyone have a Dragonfly with Nishijin Scales in ZDP-189? It has the three screw pockets clip so I could change that out.

How thin is the blade on the TRE, I love thin slicers.

I had one Mcusta Gentlemans knife in the VG10 Damascus, I experienced a lot of blade play and sold it, how are yours in comparison, maybe I had a Lemon.

Price is only an issue above 400, most custom knives are a little more expensive than I am willing to pay, but then again, 10 years ago I never thought I would spend 300 on a pocket knife either.

thread got me looking at classier edc knife so I have been looking at william henry e10-3 at knifeart---sweet looking, uber light edc.

In another thread, someone posted a picture of the Cold Steel Lucky (carbon fiber, two blade pen knife with clip). I occasionally do like a really small knife and I'm tempted with this modern traditional. It has a fully serrated and plain edge blades. Might be interesting to consider perhaps. I have a feeling I'll get this one for giggles (it will be my second CS knife). It's made in Italy. There is also a smaller Lucky 2 version with a single blade. Certainly Cold Steel stuff doesn't have the ambiance of many other knives... Spyderco, ZT, CRK etc.

I like the Spyderco Kiwi 4 quite a bit. I've had it a while. Thin and easy to carry in a pocket. Made in Japan (Seki- VG-10).

Love the knife, wish it had a smaller blade, but good lord my favorite is 750, will have to seriously think on this one, new gun vs new knife hmmm

That lucky reminds me of the Boker Plus Tac Tool, nice knife, hate the clip on the lucky though, same with the kiwi, it has a deep carry clip but not positioned that way.
If I have the deep carry clip I only want the clip to show, kinda like the Sog flash 1, William Henry, mcusta, buck vantage pro.

I absolutely hate the SOG Flash knives. Every one I have messed with has blade wobble. I've own three or four of them; all gone now.

But, I really like the SOG Access Card 2.0 with the sheepsfoot blade. I believe it has a deep clip. It stays on my desk for opening mail and so forth mostly. It does not have the finished look of many knives with its skeletized handle but would make a good office knife (non hard use).

A great auto. Pro Tech Newport. Just ordered one of these for myself. Pro Tech makes great knives. I'll 2nd the Lionsteel TRE. Nice knife.

Do people know that this thread started in 2015

Yes. OP resurrected it him/herself earlier today. (After nearly two years of research. :D )

S Skeletor1024 - I haven't handled the B+ Petite Urban, but I have the Urban Trapper with G-10 scales sitting next to me. I'm quite fond of it. Feels nice and sleek, and went with my office look quite well. I've bent the titanium clip out of place a few times, and bent it back, but it's a solid performer in my lineup.

You put it up against a Sebenza and Mnandi. I have yet to handle either (heck, ever see one in the wild even) but I venture they're not exactly comparable. Question is value for price for you at that point. I wouldn't worry personally about the Boker Plus knife, and others from them I've seen. Maybe someday I'll see a CRK live.

I'm sorry you were unlucky and got a lemon. I have heard of other people getting Mcustas with blade play. Both mine came perfect. From what I see some models seem to be affected, like the Katana, others not. If you get one of the littler gentleman sized ones made of metal like the Yoroi or Tanbo I have those seem to bebput together amazingly. It seems to be the wood handle ones that comenas lemons sometimes.

Out of curiosity which model did you have?

Another vote for Taiwan spydercos, mcusta and the ZT 770 is very good for discrete office. Thin with nice steels. In sensitive settings I just open like a pinch folder to avoid the snap of the assisted open. Take a look at the large GEC, there is nice 54 out now, 3 inch blade in 1095, the traditional look is less concerning for some nonknife people.
