One of my favorite handle materials:

Some of my personal favorite jigged bone is from Case's chestnut jigged bone CV series. Here's a photo of knives in that series that I currently have (and, as usual, my pics don't do the handles justice). If I ruled the world, I'd wish there were more consistency in the dye results from one model to another, but I still find them VERY impressive!

I have noticed this positioning in other photos of yours, namely of a TC Barlow in the Waynorth's Birthday thread, and I really like it. It really gives you a feel for the knife that is lacking in the more traditional angles.
I am going to have to try some shots from this angle myself. I will call it the "GE" shot, unless of course you have another name for it.
Tozaki jigs with hand chisels. Amazing stuff.- top, one of the very best in the world imho - Tozaki

One of those Violet dog bone 73s a while back would fill that niche.I thought maybe I could contribute a rainbow (ROYGBIV) of jigged bone, but I'm sure I don't have any yellow jigged bone, and I'm not sure I'd recognize "indigo" or "violet" if I had them!I'll post what I've got so far.
Red jigged bone on a Rough Rider medium stockman. This knife is very simple, but something about it moves me deeply!

Indigo jigged bone must be something darker than blue, right? Let's pretend that this 1978 NKCA gunboat canoe (thanks, TsarBomba) can fill this color slot:

Violet jigged bone: ??

Thanks, Ron; I couldn't agree with you more!!GT, your comparison photos of several different Case patterns all being Chestnut Jigged Bone and CV just confirm something. The colors are all somewhat different, but all still very attractive! The Chestnut Jigged Bone CV remains one of my current favorites from Case!![]()

Good memory, meako; one of those would be just the ticket for my rainbow jigging attempt! One of those Violet dog bone 73s a while back would fill that niche.
Too bad they were a bit...violet?

This one needs some pocket/using time. I've had it since Christmas.
