Giedymins big knives

Giedymin the knife arrived today and its amazing!! Thank you so much man!! Pictures dont do it justice, i took close to 30 pictures trying to get the knife and scales to show as good as they look in person, I finally gave up, This knife looks great and feels like it will make one hell of a chopper.

Congrats, man. It looks like it's in good company! Thanks for sharing your great photos . . . share more after you've used it a bit!

Thanks man, And i will definitely get some pictures of it in use as soon as this crazy weather up here gets situated.

I did split a couple logs and slice some cardboard with it already and its working great!! He put an awesome edge on this thing. It slices cardboard like a thin sword!! Cant wait to get it out and do some real chopping with it.

Hahah, Happy Birthday Worldwood.

I've finished another big camper.

Thanks giedymin!!

And that's another excellently done knife. Looks great, and im loving the liners.

Giedymin,

This one's another real beauty. The flow of blade, grind, and handle is superb.

You've got to come to the Blade Show in Atlanta so we over here can see more of your work. Your knives would be a "big" hit!

John

Thank you very much for those kind words.
Though i would really like to visit Atlanta Blade Show I don't think it will be possible this or the next year.
Hopefully someday i will have the opportunity to meet all those great makers and see all those fantastic knives:)
But before i do that i need to improve my skills and the quality of my knives.
Best regards
Giedymin

As someone who owns one of your knives i can say you are far to modest.

The quality, fit and finish of your work is excellent. Your work would indeed be a big hit here as Mr. White says above.

I always love seeing your work!! But I love using the knife even more :D

Thats not a knife! This is a knife! haha, sorry that's the first thing that came to mind when I saw your blades. They are the real deal, looks great!

Thanks. :) One of my favorite movie:) Crocodile Dundee heheh:)

Worldwood i definitely prefer NZ3 carbon tool steel. It is tougher, more reliable. Though it depends what one needs a knife for. For bigger working choppers NZ3 would be my firs choice. But it is almost impossible to get any activity (hamon) on this steel and i always have been enchanted by beautiful hamons so when i got the opportunity to buy 1075 i decided to go for it. And i do not regret:) Good steel to start experimenting with differential hardening and quite easy to HT. Now i'm waiting for N9E which is Polish name for W1 and i hope for even better results.
Unfortunately i'm going offshore next week so for at least a month i wont be making knives:(
But i will definitely have a time to sketch few new designs.

Best Regards
Giedymin

Thank you for the info!! I have done a little chopping and splitting wood with the Deimos already and it works great!! This is my first time using NZ3 but i like it :)

I look forward to seeing your new designs once you return home, you make so many great designs its hard to pick which to get HAHA but that Raven keeps calling my name :D

Have a safe trip!!

You have some amazing talent brother! I love your style and attention to detail. Looking forward to purchasing something from you in the future.

Thank you guys.
Hopefully tomorrow i will show last knife before my trip.
Best regards
