Give-Away Criteria

Lucky number 13. This one is for the second Case Sodbuster Jr. in CV (carbon steel). Remember, this is the last give-away for the posters named in the first post, but there will also be an Ontario Pilot Survival Knife given away in this thread, and everybody on BladeForums is eligible for it (please don't post for the Pilot Survival if you've already won a knife here).

The Sodbuster Jr. give-away will start now and run until this time (17.06) Wednesday. Good luck to all.

Yay! It's the grand finale! :D

This has been exciting to watch even though I won the very first one. :)

Huzzah! It's down to the last one in the bunch, and I definitely want to try again for this. Put me in. If I get this, I'll make sure it gets a good home, as I went and picked up a new one after I lost give-away #11 to Tripton.

Thanks for the chance to win something nice. Good luck to the winner of the sodbuster! That's about the best steel in a knife blade. And a great brand of knife. That will make a nice edc for certain.

I actually need to pick up a soddie at some point this year. Great little knives. It's on my short list of budget blades along with a Vic. Farmer.

Have fun with it, future winner! :D

Sorry, been really busy. As for the second Sodbuster Junior give-away, I'm not sure what to do. Technically, YayILikePie isn't eligible (please see the first post) but he's the only one to enter for it. So, in the interest of fairness, I'd like him to get the second Sodbuster, but ONLY if it's okay with the members who are eligible. Yeah it's my give-away and I make the rules, but I want to be as fair as possible. What do you guys say?

The next bit of information relates to the final give-away. This one is the Ontario Pilot Survival knife, which has not been buried, and is brand new in the factory packaging. This one is open to anybody on BladeForums, whether they were eligible for this give-away or not. I'll start it when the last Sodbuster thing has been figured out.

Lastly, all of the prizes won so far have been boxed up and labeled, ready to ship out. The Sodbuster and Pilot Survival knife are also boxed up; just waiting for a name. I'm quickly realising that shipping is going to cost more than I originally thought; I took six to the post office and based on the addresses, it came to $74, so I couldn't send any out due to financial constraints. As a result, I'm going to be sending the prizes out in "waves" of three or so at a time. Hopefully this hasn't discouraged anybody, as all prizes will still be sent out. Some of you have offered to pay for shipping, and I just won't do that. In a give-away, the winners(s) shouldn't have to pay anything; that's what's going on here.

So, what say everybody about letting YayILikePie have the second Sodbuster Jr.?

I don't see why not to let him have it. No one else posted for it, so why not let someone else who would enjoy it have some fun with it? :)

Let the pie guy have it, if he was the only one to post for it who could complain, and take as much time as needed to ship the knives, patience is a virtue.

As an alternative, there were also some people that posted earlier out of turn when there was some confusion about how the give away worked wanting the sodbuster. Bushman5, and i think someone else.

Either way I'm sure we're all more then happy to let you give your property to whomever you want. Personally I thought the giveaway should have been open to everyone from the begining. If your intent was to just weed out people not interested in your project, but after the knives then Yay easily fits threw your filter and is genuinely interested.

you worry to much, take your time shipping them, nobody's against you here.

I would say let him have it aswell if noone legible wants it. Take your time with the postage, we have plenty of time.

If anything, you could give it to someone you know first-hand. Perhaps a family member or a friend could use it. I've been carrying one already for some time and it's been treating me quite well.

Or, you could sell it off in the exchange forum and even out the shipping costs of all these knives you've given out. You know, to balance it out.

I think that unless anyone else speaks up for it then Mr. Pie (:D) should get it. He's a nice enough fellow to deserve being a part of the giveaway. ;)

This one is open to anybody on Bladeforums. The rules are as before: tell me why you think you'd like (or deserve, however you want to word it) the knife more than anyone else. Please keep it civil. This last one will run until this time (10.34) a week from now; May 27th. Have at it.

Well I guess I'll be the first to enter for this one

I'd love to have the pilot's survival knife. I actually don't have any decent fixed blade knives, besides kitchen knives. I'm 20 (21 almost) and a college student, so it's hard to justify buying a knife I won't be able to EDC. But I do need a knife for those times when I get to head off campus and go for a hike in the woods, or a trip to a friends farm, or whatever. Plus I really like the look of the pilot's survival knife, it has the same classic quality of a Ka-Bar without being too big.

Anyway, I hope things work out for you. You've definitely earned some good karma with this giveaway.

Congrats YayILikePie! And good luck SaMX! This has been better than watching tv! :D

And thanks again, J, for so generously providing that entertainment!
