giveaway - emerson horseman

thanks for the chance--never had a emerson always wanted one--need something tactical almost everything i own is traditional--:D

I don't own any Emerson knives. I only own a few knives (Gerber, Becker, and 1 SOG). I am looking for a new folding EDC. I am a college student paying my way through college, so I don't have the cashflow for a new knife. I have heard good things about Emerson knives, but have never had the cash to get one. I hunt, fish and camp on a fairly regular basis. The knife would be put to work.

I do not own an Emerson, but I have been studying his offerings since I love the Wave feature. I EDC'd a CRKT M16-13SF for about a year, and it's pretty good for what it is, but I recently retired it. An Emerson (mini-commander) was on my short list, but just out of reach in terms of price.

I am a new knife nut. My EDC for the past year or so has been a Kershaw Scallion which btw is a great little knife. I would love a quality knife like the Emerson to put through it's paces here in the Colorado mountains. It would be a great test to see if the Emerson can handle the wilds of Colorado.

I don't have a good reason for wanting it, unless the fact that I don't have one and like knives counts. All my knives are users, not that I have a lot of knives, but a knife needs to be used otherwise the world will spin out of its orbit and crash into the sun:eek:

thanks for the chance at saving the world:D

Guess I should have mentioned that I wouldn't give it away or sell it, and yes I would get a picture of it in use, hard use at that

I have never had one as well. Thanks for the opportunity to try for one! I do alot of backpacking and camping, and have been looking for the perfect folder for quite some time without any luck. I try them out, they dont work, and then I just pass them along to someone else. The Emersons look very tuff. Thanks again.

While I have been curious about Emerson's for a while, I have never gone ahead and pulled the trigger on one since I have no experience with them. All the local shops that carry knives have lots of BM, Spyderco, Kershaw, Cold Steel, CRKT, Buck, etc, but no Emerson. Strangely enough I've seen Chris Reeve knives (an annual Sebenza that's been on the shelf since 2002), Bradley's, and other more obscure brands in local shops, yet no Emersons. Given that there is no way for me to handle an Emerson in person, I've been spending my (limited) resources on the brands that I am able to handle in person and see first hand their quality, fit and finish, etc. Being given the chance to handle an Emerson could open the door to new considerations for future purchases :D.

Ha! The Horseman is my next purchase and I'm getting it to use as my main work knife -never had an Emerson and this is the one that fits my wants / needs. Thanks for the generous giveaway, hope it comes back to you twice over!

I have never owned emerson, mostly because they are quite expensive here. I do use _all_ of mine knives too as much as I can. Quite many dissappointments lately with folders, and something tactical would be cool.

Anyway, thanks for the change!

Wow, you are a most generous man. I would very much like to be the next owner of your Emerson Horseman.

I have looked at a few emerson knives but haven't pulled the trigger yet. I have never thought of myself as a collector since i have no knives that i don't use. I am more of knife enthusiast. No high end knives that i'm scared of marking up the blade. I do have knives that don't get used a lot but not because they are valuable but they just are high in the pecking order.

I have in the past year started acquiring nicer knives, fixed and folders and would love to add the emerson to the stable. Growing up in a rural farming area, I spent many hours in the woods camping and hunting. Now i am regulated to taking my youngest son to the woods and instilling a love of nature and sharp object.

Thanks

This is a very generous contest! :)

I've never owned an Emerson, they looked too pricey for me. I've hear about them and looked up a model up on Google here and there to see what a poster was talking about but that's as close as I've been to one.

I'd be more than happy to carry it, use it and post pics of it being used. Thanks!

DO like. I've owned an Emerson once, and they are simply great knives. I would enjoy owning this one very much. You're very generous in your giveaways, so thanks :)

I have never owned an Emerson or even seen one for that matter. I wouldn't mind seeing what all the fuss is about though. I have a lot of fence I need to fix because my 7 rescued dogs keeping getting out. I am disabled with 2 rare blood diseases and not working so it is hard to justify any new knives since I am also getting married soon. I also wouldn't mind trying out the combo edge because I have never had a combo edge and I will work it as hard as I can.

this is a lot of giveaways!
i do not own an emerson, i would love to EDC something like this, and thanks to the fact that college is a money drain i doubt i will have an emerson anytime in the future.
if you dont use it, then all the effort that went into designing it was in vein
thanks for the chance.

I have never had an Emerson. I always thought the Wave feature would be handy. Simple, less complicated that a spring loaded AO. I would love to have one and would keep it. I still have my original Spyderco Worker I bought back in the 80's.
Thank you for the opportunity cmbfishing, you are very generous!

I've never owned an Emerson but I'd like to try one out. I'm at the stage where I'm using different knives and giving them all a good work out. If I were to get this one, you can rest assured it would be put to work.

I'm in for this give away too. Ever since I saw a picture of a CQC B in the Emerson thread, I have been craving an A-100, CQC 7A and CQC 8. I am relatively new to the knife community and find myself longing for a "hard use knife" with all my home renovations and off road adventures; I think this would fit the bill and a would be a great "gate way" knife to more Emersons. Thanks for the opportunity.

I dont own an emerson, but i could really use this horseman! It would be a killer work knife! I could really put this one to work for sure! I Love the CQC-8/Horseman design, its a fantastic bladeshape that is just perfect for hard use!

Thanks for all the contests:thumbup:

Thanks for your generosity.

I've owned many knives before, Benchmades, Spydercos, Boker, to customs etc. but I have never owned an Emerson. I was recently about to pick one up to try out, but sadly, I do not have the money to buy one. Being a poor college student, it is hard to buy all the things I want because I have to pay for everything else first.

I've also never had a Waved knife, and would like to try it out.

Thanks again.

I have never owned or handled a Emerson but I sure would love to,an I would love to put it to work farming,Thanks for the chance.
