giveaway - emerson horseman

My 5 year old son loves everything I love, and when I show him a knife he usually says to get this one or that one, then I explain why and why not! Well I showed him the picture of this Emerson and he said, "when you buy it dad, can I have it?" haha. I guess he likes Emerson Knives!

Great contest and great knife! Never owned an Emerson. Also I am in need of a combo blade for work. I work for a major beverage Co. and I constantly have to cut open cartons of soft drinks, puncture and even cut the aluminum cans and also cut nylon rope in the warehouse. There are so many ways I can use this knife at work! Thanks again for the cool contest!
 
I did never own an emerson knife so it would be great chance to try one.
I do own a collection of knives and all are users.

I will use this emerson as a heavy duty folder because its made for this job and not made to look pretty.

Also because of this nice gesture i will never sell or trade this knife because it was a gift:thumbup:.

I would LOVE to have one, to be honest.. I have a bunch of knives, but most of them are cheaper, due to financial reasons, most expensive one is a 710

I'm an EMT and I would definitely use it lots, would show you tons of pics! :D
would not be a safe queen for me!


Actually I have wanted a horseman since I first heard about it!, read that it was strongly inspired by the Chinese "Dao", and being of Chinese ethnicity (born here, parents immigrated), I had been very intrigued, just don't have 160 bucks to afford!

I would love to have this opportunity if it is still going on!

also never owned any emerson before, but have always been really intrigued by the wave feature, I've added my own jerry rigged zip tie "waves" onto some byrds but never have used the real thing!

My use? Well, I will take this with me when I go on duty. I'm in U.S. Army DEP and will be training to be a Warrant Officer. This knife as well as a couple others would definitely be flying with me!

I don't own any Emersons as they are a bit out of my price range. I've heard nothing but good things about them though so I'd definitely like to see what all the fuss is about.

No worries about it being a safe queen, looks like it would make a great work knife!
 
I have never owned a Emerson. I have always looked at them but never pulled the trigger. The only thing close I have handled is a BM 970 Emerson. I have heard that the production Emersons are similar but better with the wave. I agree to use in good health because I own no safe Queens.

First off I am not in.

But I have been tempted to get an Emerson Horseman but I have never had the nerve to get one as I have always used kershaw. I am too set in my ways but I would definitely like to try an Emerson Horseman, it would be near the top of the list right after an HD-7.
 
Not a horseman, but work outside as a geologist. Plenty of use for a hard working knife. Would love to put an Emerson to work.
 
I DO own an Emerson (CQC8) so the Horseman is a knife I'm familiar with. Awesome blade profile and top notch construction. Kudos on the giveaway......someone's going to get a terrific knife.
 
I would like to have a knife of this quality as I can,t afford this expensive of a knife. I am a farmer and a carpenter so it will get plenty of use.Thank You for your generosity.

I want to win this knife. WHY? Becaues I am sort of new to knife collecting and haven't had the budget to really just dive in and get a bunch of TOP OF THE LINE knives. This would really jump start my small knife collection to a new level. Besides, IT'S AN EMERSON! And who doesn't want to be the guy that pulls out the really Cool knife when someone needs something done, and say "Check this out" I know I do! Thanks guys It's awesome that you're doing this.

Damn! don't have a Emerson so for sure I would like to have it- keep it in my pocket every day and use the hell out of it.

I've never owned an Emerson, or any folder over 50 bucks for that matter. I like the round thumb stud design alot, and the first finger choil. Simple quality liner locks always seem to be the most effective folders to me.
 
I'd love to have it, but others would need it more than me.
Out of the spirit of the offer (even though you said no giveaways), I'd like to ask around a few of the smaller towns out in the hills, maybe among the boy scout groups, and make some kids (who has proven to be responsible!) day with such a knife as a gift. Knife and firearm handling forced me to get a bit more responsible than I would have been without such opportunities.
There are a lotta people out in the hills without much opportunity to make the kind of money required for such a knife.
If you're interested in me fishing around the hills for a worthy recipient, who can't afford a computer to even be on this forum, let me know and I'll start asking. We'd figure out a way for you to communicate with said poverty stricken recipient so you'll know it's legitimate.
It would be a shame for it to go to a weekend warrior.
That baby wants to be used... a lot!
