giveaway - emerson horseman

Geez man I swear you're the most generous guy I've ever met. Thank you very much for the chance I would love to try this puppy out!

Guess I'll give it a go.

To be honest I've never been all that impressed with the 'look' of Emerson folders aside from the A100 which has caught my eye from time to time , and yet every time I see one for sale in the forums I always look to see what it looks like , I guess the G10 and Titanium combo intrigues me and I have heard many times how solid these knives are in spite of being linerlocks , I do like linerlocks.
I also surprise myself by liking the idea of common screws used in the build on these , I'm a sucker for Torx but for some reason regular old slotted screws sing back to a simpler "American" time , that probably doesnt make much sense to anyone but me heheh..

So if by chance I won this beaut , I would definatly put it it my EDC rotation and use it at work and for personal use , I would like to see if they are all they are made up to be and what better way to find out than winning one ! :)

Thanks for the opportunity to own an Emerson folder cmbfishing !! :)

I'm new and not sure how these giveaways work, but very cool folks here for sure.

I just learned of Emerson a few weeks back on Glocktalk. Mr. Emerson himself is on the "ask an expert panel" I really dig how he praises other MFG's stuff. Makes him believable and a realist.

I'd would be curious how a knife like that really stacks up against a sub $100 Kershaw/Spyderco/Benchmade/etc.....

I could certainly put it through it's paces in Idaho. :)

I have looked at emersons and even been 1 click away from buying this exact model (plain edge)
but in the end spent the money on more important things, I have allways loved chisel grinds but could never find any of quality until I found emerson.
really love the wave feature and you can be 100% sure I would beat the heck out of it!

don't own any emersons (again, too rich for my blood)...in fact don't own any partially serrated blades. def could be a useful addition to a new but hopefully growing collection. that and love the finger guard/choil on this one!

i'm going to post basically the same thing i posted in your other thread if that's okay.

i dont own a emerson, however i'm not entering this because i want it. it says no selling/trading but how about giving it to a friend? i have a friend who landscapes and he had this crapppyyy knife he carried. i gave him my s&w ck8h, which while actually not a horrible knife, it isnt a good one either. i never carried it, and none of my other knives would really suit landscaping because theyre mostly too small. so i wanted to give him something to use. but i wouldnt mind giving him a good knife he can use hard. i know emersons are known for their ability to stand up to hard use. plus he and his girlfriend just broke up, and since he was living in her apt he's had to move back home. this would reallllyy cheer him up, and he is really a nice guy and deserves it.

I'm from Manila and here, Emersons are big amongst knife enthusiasts. If you have an Emerson then you are "it", more so than owning a Spyderco millie or even Chris Reeve Knives. There's just something about it's tactical beauty paired with practicality.
I've never owned one and still constantly dream of owning one. The knives I've purchased through the years would've already added up to an Emerson here, since our knives here sell for twice the street price there in the States. My buddies told me the Horseman would be a perfect Emerson for me, since I have smallish hands.

One day, maybe because of this very nice giveaway, I'll be able to hold and own my very first emerson. Thanks for the chance.

Never owned an emerson, never had friends with one.... nothing.

I'd like win this because I feel I haven't given Mr. Emerson a chance. I've had the wave on other knives, but it would be awesome to see what the original article is like. Emerson consistently gets high reviews, so I'd love to try it out. All my knives are users, so no worries on the must use, no safe queen stuff here.

Thanks again for the amazing opportunity!

Thank you again for this opportunity!

I have never owned an Emerson. Like many of the nicer knives seen on this forum (Sebenza, Busses, higher end Spydercos, BMs, etg), they are, quite frankly, out of my price range. My EDC rotation is a Boker Trance, Spy Delica, and BM Minigrip. I also promise to use and carry it. I don't believe in safe queens nor do I have the money to buy safe queens, let alone a safe to store them in (unless tupperware qualifies as a safe).

I'll take my chances....

Not only I have never owned An Emerson, I have never handled one before. Moreover I only have a few folding knives. Only three actually....:o What else can say here.....Those are the only knives I own.

Thanks

A fascinating display of generosity
An Emerson of sleek ferocity
Of such a blade I do not currently own
Its half-serrated edge I would carefully hone
Not stuck in a safe or put out on display
But put to service every day
I would humbly request to enter your draw
For of this knife I am in awe

Hey, Are internationals allowed? If so, I would like to have it because i have never owned an Emerson before and they are incredibly expensive and hard to find in Germany. The Horseman is also my favorite design by Emerson.
Greetings and thanks for the giveaway!

Thanks for the great offer. While I haven't had the pleasure of handling an Emerson yet, the Horseman has been the one knife that always evades my grasp. One with teeth would just be the icing on the cake. Don't worry all my knives get used hard no matter how valuable they are. I've always been a Spyderco guy, yet somehow I seem to spend a fair bit of time ogling Emerson knives..

Bo.

I've never owned an Emerson and the Horseman is one of the designs I like a lot. It would certainly be cool to own one of them.

Thanks for letting us play.

Wow, this is very generous. Thanks!

I would love to try out a Emerson, I've always wanted to pull the trigger on one but never have. I have no safe queens and use every knife I have. I would love to try out one.

I have several different "tactical" folders, the best of which is a Buck S30V Vantage Pro. My normal EDC is an older SOG BG-42 X-42. I would love to compare those to an Emerson. Thanks for the chance.

thanks for the contest!

i just got into knives last year. i'm 49 years old. i got into knives due to a change in my work situation. i started a thread on another forum (not a knife forum) asking for recommendations for a knife that would "open boxes or cut someone's head off if i had to"

while it was worded in fun, i was also serious. i'm placed in some dangerous situations every day. i know a knife is not the first choice defensive weapon, it would be better than nothing.

there were so many in that thread that said - emerson!

i googeled the blades...holy hell, i loved them!

truthfully, i am very good with money. i do not mind spending it on quality items, but i look at things from all sides. i needed a knife but to spend $120 on a pocket knife? i just couldn't! the last knife i had was when i was 8 years old. it was an old swiss army knife!

i ended up with a griptilian. at $70 some odd dollars, that was really more than i wanted to pay, but i wanted a quality knife.

the emerson has never left my mind though. as you know, when the knife bug bites, it never lets go.

i was about to pull the trigger on one, when out of the blue, my son was diagnosed with crohn's disease. not long after that, my wife found out she had to have a disc in her spine replaced.

naturally, i had to forget about the knife, but it didn't forget about me!

months later, i'm looking again. i can't swing the emerson because of the cash i'm shooting out in dr.'s bills. i finally came across a spyderco endura 4 wave. while it's a great knife, it's not a real deal emerson. i had to settle for what my money would allow.

today, i come across this thread...maybe, just maybe...

dude, i would love to own an emerson!

Awesome opportunity man. I've spent all my money on spyderco's. I've always been dying to try out an Emerson, but that won't happen any time soon seeing I'm a poor college student. I've been edcing my kershaw skyline every day and could really useable hard use folder.

i have never owned one before but a lot of guys in the sandbox had them and swore by them. would be really cool to use one in my daily ems chores now ... thanks for the chance

I have never had one but would test it out for you. There are needier folks than I, who could put it to use though.
You're very generous to give away such high value knives.

Dave
