I originally came to bladeforums when researching a JE Middleton bowie. I had been gifted the bowie from a friend from a gun forum. It turns out it was made in the 1980s. The gifter was a friend of the family. Sadly I lost the friend over a forum squabble and then lost the knife when my house burnt down in 2015.

I ended up sticking around since I've had a love of knives since I was 10 years old. I remember taking my cubscout knife and opening the blade and awl and throwing it like a ninja star up and letting it stab in the ground. I mostly have traditional knives, but a have 2 folding one hand openers, with my favorite being the Buck 345, which is pretty traditional in appearance.
