...I apologized to Nakano for being verbally abusive towards him, but honestly, the 1st thing I thought when I read his post was, "WTF? You posted someone else's knives for sale?"
Maybe I was off tangent there, and didn't mean for it to be the 'tip of the spear' and take away from his gripe...it just seemed really weird to me at the time.
It seems that other Gold Members felt the same way, so maybe it wasn't so weird after all...
And yes, I'm the one that posted the ebay links to my 'For Sale' ads, but being my first sale ad, at the time I really didn't know better...I do now.
RGRAY, I've never known you, or any of the other moderators, to be (really) nasty, and now isn't the time to start...
lifter, I couldn't agree more...you've been there, you've seen it, ditto here...implosion starts within. Hopefully we're (both) not adding to the vacuum.
My read is this; GB&U is a great place to pass feedback about our transactions to other forumites, so they can decide if they want to do business with either of those people in the future.
As such, there will be 'Good, Bad, AND Ugly' posts made...but it doesn't have to be a freaking little bitch fest each time.
So, taking Cougar's words to heart, and acting like many/most of the 'elder' BFC members, I'm going to refrain from adding my .02 worth to GB&U threads in the future unless they directly affect me, or unless I have an 'atta-boy' to add.
CODE 3, as much of a wanker as I think you are, the gist of what you said makes sense, though what I think you meant to say was, paraphrased, "We're all adults here, and as such should be able to regulate ourselves within reason, without having to adhere to a very strict set of rules" (At least I hope that's what ya meant to say)
In summary, I believe that Nakano felt he had a legitimate beef, and he may well have, but somehow it got lost in the noise level here...
Nonetheless, a deal is a (done) deal when both parties say it's a (done) deal...and everything leading up to that point is just wishful thinking...
Presentation of the arguement being paramount to it's acceptance within the meandering herd, I think we'd all be well served if we were just a tad bit politer with our complaints, should we have any.
