I have a Mountain Man in 1095 that I believe I got from Carl Risner, but your stag is MUCH more dramatic than mine. Mine also does not have the Jimping on the back of the blade, did yours come like that? I also have a Mountain Man in 440C, I got in mid-1970's, marked on the blade in an arc "The Mountain Man" then below that "Queen Steel #1440" "Made in the USA." It has the Queen "Q & Crown" and a "7" on the tang. Nice flat scales of Delrin? John
PS: Forgot to mention that the 1970's Mountain man does have jimping on the spine of the blade, but not as deep as on your model.
