Lets find out how well GB aka Goncz fares with his buddies at IRS on a whats that called? Oh yeah an audit. The snitch gets a percentage if he is found to have defrauded the IRS. Perhaps that most famous auditor Ben Dover will get assigned Johns audit.
 
I'll admit that I completely ignored the IRS threat thing... seeing as how this dolt knows nothing about how I run things. Maybe he's stupid enough to do things illegally... perhaps his threats are nothing more than a guilty conscience projecting? Who knows? Who cares? Nice try Gonzo... next?
 
I do hope that you all had a very entertaining and safe New Year celebration last night. All that talk about "_all tweeking" (actually tweaking) and I was beginning to wonder just what kind of party ol g.b. was interested in...

I've been reading the threads from g.b.'s exploits on CPF (Really need to unwind after last night :p ) and It seems that he started off with some possibly good intentions. Also appears that his prior attempts at business success were also possibly well intentioned but his ego just gets in the way and then it's "everyone who does not pat me on the back is uncivilized, uneducated, and blah, blah, blah."

I'm going to grab another cappuccino and plunge forward with the reading. :rolleyes:

I must say that Sash/Spoosha had an extreme degree of patience with ol puddy tat g.b. ;)

By the way. ol g.b. ALWAYS throws out threats of complaining to "authorities", mostly a poor reaction based upon low self-respect and no actual self-esteem. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just my deflated $0.02 ;)

Actually it was his original misspell but even if it was yours I believe that almost everyone would agree that it pales in comparison to g.b.'s absolute butchering of the language. BTW are we the only two attempting to recover from last night or what?

Stu... I must admit that I was a complete wuss last night and after a fantastic dinner out with friends, I came home and was snoozing snugly, surrounded by three bulldogs by 11PM local time. The only thing I've had to recover from today is the excellent linguini and clams that I had for dinner last night... that garlic seems to hang in for days... ;)
 
BTW, was the comparison testing by Kenshiro and Ted Bear (at CPF) back in Oct 2002 the "lies told by competitors" that ol g.b. refers to in more recent posts?

Here's a little story though...

I have this one bulldog who every now and then just starts tearing around the house... all by herself. She chases and barks and stops and stalks, then pounces... but there is not anyone/thing in sight...(shhhh... don't tell her... she rides the little bus, you know)... so in order to keep her self-esteem up, we named her "friend" Larry. So now when she is on her tear, we just say that she's playing with Larry. ;)

Maybe Goncz has competitors named Larry? :D
 
Copy that Sasha. :D Sounds like g.b. might have numerous "Larrys" lurking about... LOL.

From what I've read so far, sounds like you folks at CPF are just really into lighting devices, there does not appear to be any ulterior motives, and that there have been at least two "comparison tests" that included goncz lights. He has always alleged "competitors" that are in collusion but it seems that there are only about as many dealers/manufacturers at CPF as there are here at BF and that most of the members there were just interested in g.b.'s lights and if they worked as well as he had attempted to market them. Sad but then that seems to be his M.O. with everything he does.

What seems very pathetic about this whole thing (except the admitted entertainment value that everyone except g.b. has agreed to) is that good ol g.b. seems to have been "working" on his lights for at least two years now and still has problems.

BTW still reviewing his history on the other forum. :D

And about last night...not to worry...I had enough champagne for just about all of us...I should have been satisfied with dinner...lol

OK now back to more specifics about the "testing issues" as alleged by good ol g.b. himself. If I recall g.b. alleged within just the past several weeks or months that he/"they" had recently tested the g.b. lights in the desert against a stop sign. Boy now THIS sounds like some real serious/technical TESTING Yeah that’s what it is.....serious...technically advanced...testing ;)

Roth.. I am sure in Your garage You are the best machinist and have a $300,000.00 8-th axis CNC lathe. The honest opinion of your machining is garbage, parts with that finish goes into the scap barell as to the idea you are borrowing from Maglite, and that is not nice, capitalizing on somebody else intellectual property...

As to the girl in Cama Sutra they refer to women with grey hair and over 40 is , well buy the bok and read it....

actually goncz, my lathe is a $300 cheapo.

what i find funny, is that i can make better lights with $400 worth of tools than you can with your million dollar investments! :D

furthermore, i am not capitolizing at all on mags ideas. mag has in no way, shape, or form indicated that they are or will be producing any form of dropin. i personally detest maglite as a company, even more than i detest goncz lights.
in fact, some of the features and aspects of your lights infringe on maglite copyrights and trademarks!
either they have contacted you about it and you have done to them what you do to everyone, or they don't even bother with you :D

yes, sometimes your comments were respectful, sometimes they were insulting. you're kind of fickle like that :)

i will take your advice though, i haven't been spending as much time in the shop as i'd like :D

i know a guy who has a goncz m3, maybe i could talk him into letting me mod it? :D
if i do i'll be sure to let you know of the results :)
 
@ Gonzo - in regards to your mentioning of my name in conjunction with a quite famous other german - you even got THAT wrong :rolleyes:

@ Roth - what about taking you up on that :D

As I wrote earlier this M3 might be a good target for 3x123 or 2xLiIon 5W DD - the focussing might come in nicely - one could just do a 5W emitter to PR base plug-in and make it a tight fit to transfer the heat out to the body - I´ll email you on that.
